My daughter and I recently attended the RedLion for a meal at short notice, and were pleasantly surprised at the warm reception which we received. The bar was relatively quiet for the time and the day.We went to the bar and placed our order, which was served quite briskly ......the steak, with side salad and trimmings, and a similar burger without the roll, as my daughter is allergic to breadHalf way through our meal we were approached by three fellow diners, who made themselves known,...................old friends who had moved from the area, more than twenty years previously,So the Red did us proud, out of the blue , and pink with embarrassment ,we enjoyed a golden evening and the food wasn't bad either.Dietary restrictions: My daughter is allergic to breads so enjoyed her burgher minus thar item butane up for it with side salad.

Nice local pub. Went with the wife.Decent food (Sunday lunch) nice pint and fairly priced. Can't go wrong really, nice outside area we sat in because the sun was out, spoke to the landlord who was a nice chap. Give it a go if your in the area.

We stay in caravan in Plassey and when we are there this is our go to pub. Food is good pub grub, the staff are lovely and a good laugh. It’s also great for the kids as there is a climbing frame & slide, large back garden and nets for a game of footy for them. Kids menu is great and super cheap (i think anyway) I’ve honestly never had a bad meal. And i think its great for what you pay id say very affordable.

This is our favourite pub to visit when camping near by at The Plassey, we had a day out today from Liverpool & treated my Mum to lunch, yet again really enjoyed our visit. A lovely welcome & delicious meal...just the best...see you again soon ?

Excellent pub with lovely food highly recommend. Staff are so nice and hospitable could not do more for us and so polite. Defo go if your visiting the area.Vegetarian options: Has lots of vegitarian/vegan options also has a gluten free menu also.Kid-friendliness: Lots of outdoor space and had a bouncy castle for the children.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from the car park and disable spot right next to the back door so ideal and lots of space

Such a lovely welcome. Guy behind the bar chatted to me straight away despite me not being a local. The beer I had was lovely and cold and I got to enjoy it in a large beer garden looking out over fields and hills. There was a children's play area. And a separate place for people to eat that doesn't allow smoking.Would recommend if passing throughKid-friendliness: They have a play area.

Lovely pub, and lovely food, I have a gluten allergy and the red lion had a good separate menu with many different options available! My friends said their food was good too! Ate outside in the gardens so the kids could play and use the on site bouncy castle!
