Visited the restaurant for the first time with friends and was absolutely delighted and impressed with the environment, welcoming reception and the outstanding food. My friends and I had the Christmas lunch which was well presented and totally divine. The learners are a credit to the college and I would highly recommend you book a table as soon as you can! Well done all at Scholars.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, and congratulations is in order for all that worked hard to deliver such high standards of service and quality. Hidden Gem of the valleys. I have heard many people say how good this little gem is. So we thought we would give it a try. We are so glad we did. This has to be the best meal we have had in many years. Visually the food looked on par with any 5 star restaurant. did it taste as good as it looks?. Omg yes, it does. Every mouthful was a sensation for your tastebuds. Its hard to think the meal was cooked by students. The chefs even come out to talk about how they design the menu and put the flavours together. This is a Gem and a must-visit for any food lover and at £15 you can't go wrong.

Visited with a group of friends for a Xmas lunch. Great service from the students. Each of the three courses was delicious. Wine was good and the mince pies and stollen to finish with tea/coffee was a lovely touch. Can’t wait to visit again ?

Truly exceptional food at incredibly affordable prices.The restaurant is effectively a real world work experience environment for both the front of house and kitchen college students. So each week the menu changes to reflect what the students have learnt that week. You would never guess that the kitchen staff are students given that the presentation and flavour profiles of the dishes are beyond what you might see in a restaurant charging triple the price.The 3 course menu normally offers 3 choices for each course and at £15 it's a steal! Bread and petit fours are provided too. Drinks are also very cheap with an extensive wine list.You'll need to book via phone ahead of time and make sure to double check the opening times/weeks.(Attached menu is from 12th Oct)

Can't praise Stuart and his staff, Head Chef Martin and all the students at this restaurant highly enough. Fabulous food and a really great experience. The goose was fantastic. Can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend it.
