Been to Maya before and was reasonably impressed, this evenings visit was far from what I expected, attentive service from some of the staff, but being asked by the owner at the table to prove our booking was not very professional…. My son’s butter chicken was very dry and tough ( chicken), to cap it all I’ve never been to an Indian restaurant that allows screaming toddlers to run around other people dining in the restaurant. Will not be returning…….

Boxing Day Family Meal. I cannot fault this restaurant the staff were fantastic, friendly and welcoming couldn't do enough for us! All of the food was lovely, good portion sizes. Relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be returning ?Thankyou for looking after us and to all of the staff including the chefs for the service and lovely food! Happy New year to you all ??

I wasn't sure about writing this review as Maya has always been one of our favourite places to go and it feels a little disloyal however upon reflection management had an opportunity to consider the value and act accordingly and I do not think this happened fully. This was our Christmas Dinner, plus gravy. The turkey was the best I had ever tasted ! But the quality was embarrassing The Prawn Cocktail starter wasn't of good quality, saturated in sauce that made the salad soggy and everything was tasteless and the baked bread was not baked, it was way under baked. The service was good, the atmosphere was relaxed. I approached the manager about the meal and showed him the photo I had taken, he admitted that he was shocked and addressed it with the kitchen. I was presented with a full bill to pay, rather than pay at the table I approached the manager and he knocked £16 off the £145 bill

Had a trip here a few weeks ago, but I forgot to post a review!We have been here a few times now, and the food is always fantastic, I have met the head chef, and he is very knowledgeable about his food and recommendations!I'm the kind of person who likes to get the chef to recommend something as I can never pick.Great atmosphere and front of house very well ran, with very friendly staff.I recommend garlic chilli nantara (if that's how it's spelt)Thanks for a great experience every time we come. What a little gem!I nearly forgot to add that I saw so many certificates and paper articles and stuff around the place for their great work and food they do!See you in the new year all staff at the maya have a great Christmas ? ?

Stayed at a local Airbnb and took a punt after seeing positive reviews and food hygiene score of 5Wasn't disappointed - food arrived hot and tasted fresh and well-made. I had the chicken tawa and it barely registered on my spice-o-meter - I'd recommend itMy partner had the south Indian fish curry and it was, in her words, "bloody lovely".

Very enjoyable meal here on a Friday evening. Not especially busy, but pleasant atmosphere. Food perhaps a little slow to arrive but we enjoyed the relaxed pace. Food was delicious, all six of us were delighted with our meal, spice levels were exactly as described and just what we wanted. Some interesting alternatives to standard curries. Well worth the visit and we will definitely be back!
