Great Saturday breakfast, orange or apple juice as a welcome drink a great touch.

We hosted my father's wake in the function room at The Rose Inn in January 2024. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, both in the prepration for the event and on the day itself. The Roast Pork buffet was delicious and, since we had over-catered slightly, we took leftovers home to enjoy!

Went here for a valentines meal tonight. Had the Camembert and chateaubriand and both were lovely. Excellent value for money for a quality meal! Service was really efficient and the staff were friendly as always. Was a real pleasure. Thank you to the Rose Inn team!Parking: Lots of parking

Shocking service and pretty poor food for the money. Arrived at the pub kinda shown table what I mean is the waitress walked ahead of placed two children menus on the table and walked off so we presumed we were sitting there. Food order was taken in good time though 35-40 minute wait for food to arrive sadly when food did arrived it wasn’t as expected. My chips and the wife’s wasn’t warm and wife’s thick cut chips where still raw in the middle. The steaks 1 medium rare 1 medium well where both the same they where also of poor cut very gristly and hard to chew. Onion rings where stone cold any other time we would have complained but it was a family affair being a 70 and 80th birthday meal sadly if we complained most if not all food would have gone back. £18 for chips and a burger sorry but iv had better from local takeout the prices and food quality are so far apart we wouldn’t recommend here none will we be going back sorry.

Went yesterday for the first time. The waitress was very abrupt and rude. We wanted to sit on a table for 4 despite there being only 2 of us. But she insisted we say on a table for 2 as she would have to move us. She didn't ask nicely either. So we did. All the time we were there NO one came in and we were all alone so we could have had the table for 4.The coffee was cold but as I didn't want to tell the waitress I drank it. It was obvious she didn't like us.One thing I will say the food we had was beautiful and probably the best I have had in a long time. We were asked if we wanted a desert. But declined as the smell in the room was dire. It was like Shake and Vac smell and very over powering. Would I go back...... Possibly in the summer but this experience put me off. I did message the pub about all this but as yet no reply

Food was fresh and well cooked but over priced and there was no atmosphere thought it a shame as outside looks very inviting. The part of restaurant we were in was dim and very cold so much so that 2 People had legs covered with coats and 1 didn't even take coat off. Sorry but will not be returning. Not much choice for Vegetarians.

2nd visit to the Rose was on Xmas day, and what a fantastic feast this place put on.The staff worked extremely hard and continued to be polite and friendly throughout, which must have been a difficult day for all the Xmas day working staff.5-Course meal complimented with a glass of bubbly and soft drinks for the grandchildren. All courses were exceptionally plentiful, and all came piping hot.Although the restaurant was full, there was no panicking from the staff, and they managed to stay professional and polite throughout.Well done, team Rose Inn, we will certainly look to book for Xmas 2024Excellent service and even better food. Sunday lunch was plentiful and full of meat. Definitely return to this fantastic pub restaurant ?
