We had an evening meal here on Saturday as part of a birthday celebration. I found the lamb korma tasty and filling, with a small dish of keema rice and two nan breads to share. We also had poppadoms to begin with and beers/ cider to drink. My daughter had buttered planner curry which she enjoyed. My partner wasn't so keen on his lamb byriani as he thought it should have been drier and there wasn't enough lamb in it. I enjoyed the meal and would possibly visit again .

Probably one of the worst carveries I have ever had. Given the choice of Gammon or pork. ( That's pork.... Or pork!!) Pork was so fatty it was inedible. We were offered a vegetarian option of "veggie tartlet" honestly this was beyond words bad. Vegetables were all served out of what can only be described as "copper buckets"and were cold , raw and or partially empty. I will say, that the young staff members were very polite and helpful. A very disappointing meal on the whole.

Bigsby’s serves fantastic food in a relaxed atmosphere and takeaway option during lockdown makes a great treat!

Bigsby's restaurant at the Plough was amazing. Fine dining makes a nice change for the town. The food was delicious, vegetables that complemented the dishes. Service was really good, all the dishes we had were enjoyed. I had a sushi starter (it was great to see such a thing on a menu as it's something I love but don't see anywhere other than Japanese restaurants). The sea bass was cooked to perfection with sliced vegetables. I had a creme brulee for pudding, which was nice but I especially enjoyed the shortbread biscuits that came with it.On the expensive side but worked out around £26 per person for 3 courses each. Drinks were pretty average pub prices. Would definitely recommend and will go again.

My sister treated myself and four others to a meal here, as she wanted to try it. All the meals looked fantastic, everyone enjoyed what they had. I had the mushroom starter, which was gorgeous, then I had pork for the main (I am very fussy about how meat's cooked) it was cooked to perfection! For dessert I had frangipan, which tasted fantastic too! I certainly recommend Bigsbys, not only is the food tasty, but the staff are polite and friendly too.
