It's very disappointing that the Blue Bell Inn is now closed to the general public as a pub. This is a very important coaching inn, that has been on the High Street for many centuries. It has now closed its doors to the general public, unless you have booked a table for a meal. Even more interesting is that planning permission for the property is listed as a pub, not a restaurant, technically operating in breach of planning. I hope that the current tenants will allow the general public to drink at the bar as per the terms of its current planning consent.

This is our second time eating at the Bluebell. We were fussy eaters, but Ayman happily suggested perfect tweaks to the menu to suit us. The North African chicken with saffron rice was tasty and not too spicy, the two guests eating seafood risotto didn't speak until they had finished, as their food was so deliciousl. Save space for the black cherry pancake and the limoncello cheescake.

This independent restaurant excels in every way. The food is of a high quality, fresh and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes are decent. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A group of six of us thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of our three course meal. Clean plates all round! The Steaks are far superior to those offered by a well known chain. Special thanks to the Manager Hyman, who looked after us very well.We will be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and other allergies are catered for as food is cooked fresh.Parking: Free Parking available at the rear of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is easy and there are no internal or external steps.

This lovely restaurant is faultless. The food is fabulous, and the customer service is second to none. Honestly, we couldn't have felt more welcome. Top rate facilities too. Would recommend in a heartbeat 5*

We visited on a Thursday night in early January. What I really liked about this place that is uncommon nowadays is that the tables are not crammed in. You don't feel like you're impinging on someone a nearby table or that you have to talk in hushed tones. This also suggests the restaurant prioritises quality rather than a battery restaurant with a fast, high turnover. The food was exceptional, though as a table we weren't too adventurous with our choices, I certainly will be a little more so next time. The owner was very personable and took the time to explain some of the dishes to us. His enthusiasm for the restaurant really shines through - his personality and friendliness, along with the wonderful food will ensure we return in the not too distant future.

A really great pub/restaurant ran by Ayman who is a credit to the business. The food, from starter to dessert was excellent. There were 7 of us for Sunday lunch and no request was too much trouble. The fish stew type starter was delicious. Six of us had the roast beef, great, I had the lamb tagine which was so good. Definitely the best food in Henley by far. Well done to everyone at The Bluebell.

This is a beautiful place run by gorgeous people. The atmosphere created by Ayman was so welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a family meal - 7 of us aged 2-85 - everyone had a great time and we enjoyed every mouthful. Thank you!

Lovely town with nearly all period properties & The Blue Bell is no exception. It looks like it's dated back to 1700sThe owner came & served us & he was quite a character . He added to the atmosphere joking with us all through the meal.He told us he hand selects chooses all the ingredients & everything made from scratch.Character building with modern toilet facilities. Food was nicely presented with fancy plates/ dishes. There was a varied menu of different types of food from around the world.Prices were more expensive than average to reflect quality of produce & everything being made fresh to order.A lovely pub with a difference.

We came into the Bluebell on our way home for lunch. What a lovely food experience! The ingredients were fresh and food was of exceptional quality. A well thought out menu and service was very friendly and relaxing. I had the lamb tagine which was delicious and my partner had the seafood risotto that was the best he had ever had. Thank you very much for such friendly service and enjoyable food. We will be returning again for lunch or dinner!!

Came across this restaurant whilst walking down the High Street so popped in for lunch, greeted by friendly service and a menu of tasty meals. We finally chose the lamb tagine and the seafood risotto both were freshly prepared and full of flavour, two excellent dishes.
