Great food, great beer and really friendly staff. 4th visit in 5 months. It’s also dog friendly. Lovely garden at the rear for summer visits.

Fabulous evening celebrating a friends birthday. We were served by Francesca and she was just wonderful. It was my first visit (couple we went with had been before) and will definitely be back. Being a vegetarian there wasn’t much choice but the food that I had a delicious. They surprised my friend with a Happy Birthday sing-song which was a lovely touch.

Plenty of space and the service was good. Food was ok but I thought a little overpriced. Also ordered calamari with an aioli dip for starter. It came without the dip and when I asked for it, it took about 2 minutes to arrive by which time the calamari had cooled down.

Slow service, average food and they charge a 5% COVID tax! So overall, we were disappointed with our visit. Not going back!

The service was slow. The food wasn't great we paid £60 for Côte de Boeuf, and we didn't eat it. it was chewy and full of fat. We sent it back, and they bought it out again 10 mins later, and it was the same. I was so disappointed - we complained, and they took 10% off the bill. The sides were not much better. The food looked grey. This is the second time we have been there in the last couple of months, and the food hasn't been worth what we have paid for it. I won't eat there again. It's a real shame.

My first visit here. Lovely garden. Excellent food and very nice to see a menu with ‘different’ food. My only complaint is that we were seated at a dirty table. The staff stood around as if this was perfectly acceptable. I asked them to clean the table and this was carried out in a cursory fashion. Admittedly about fifteen minutes later all the tables were cleaned with soap and water but this should have been done when the restaurant opened. Apart from the above mentioned incident, the experience was delightful and I would recommend the restaurant highly and I would go again without hesitation.

Lovely food chicken wings are sublime, mains are good pub food lots of food high quality lovely beers
5 of us went for lunch and were very disappointed. The food was average and presented poorly. Soggy burgers and overly greasy chips. The chicken wings were fab but other than that rest was poor. A real shame for a lovely pub.

Used to come to this place roughly a year ago for Sunday dinners which where sublime unlike now .I fully understand times are hard but being ordered to wear a mask even if your walking around outside is absolutely over the top and unnecessary and wasn’t a good start to the evening not to mention my medium /rare steak that came out ( I ordered medium well ) along with over cooked veg and a sorry looking half a burnt onion , The staff are mostly school leavers with not very good people skills , left after 30 mins to nags head down the road where service was second to none won’t be going back to the butchers , oh and also you need to get the old chef back

Completely ignored, had to call the wait staff over to order drinks (after 20 minutes), then to remind them we were waiting for drinks. Eventually our food arrived, before our drinks. Other tables got a lot more attention, with wait staff chatting and socialising with the patrons, maybe we were wearing the wrong perfume. Unless you’re a known local, find another pub, there are plenty of alternatives to this self styled gastropub. Would give it zero stars if I could.

Best takeaway we’ve had in ages!! We’ve been meaning to get a takeaway from here for a while and I’m so glad we did! Best food we’ve tasted in such a long time! The wings were spectacular! I was worried it wouldn’t taste as fresh but we were wrong. It was hot, fresh and SO tasty! We had buttermilk burger, double cheese burger and the bbq wings! 100% recommend!
