Great food. Nice treat. We booked to go here because we had been given £50 voucher. Somehow we must have misplaced the voucher and was too late to Cancel at this point. Would have been better if we hadn’t have misplaced our voucher as it’s quite pricey when you have drinks and 3 courses but nice for a

Had a absolutely gorgeous meal and evening. Restaurant was very quiet which suited us tbh. Food OMG the chef needs a medal, was absolutely mouth watering.. Birthday treat, fitting way to end the day..

Nice top end pub with good pub food. Worth a visit.Scotch egg was very good indeed, fish and chips were excellent. The sirloin steak...was a sirloin steak.

Great food, but service not good. Four of us went to The Mount as a treat. It was a busy Friday evening, and our table was between the bar and the restaurant. Our food order was taken quickly, but then we were pretty much abandoned! We were never offered more drinks, and we had to go up to the bar to ask for the wine menu and order our wine and drinks. The food was delicious – we had steaks and lamb, and all were cooked perfectly. But when you are paying this much for an upmarket pub meal (our bill was £228 for four of us – two courses and wine) you expect to be looked after. We could see that the staff were busy, and appeared not to have time to come and check on diners outside the main restaurant area. We asked for the service charge to be removed from our bill, and explained why - this was done - but no apology or explanation. Disappointing.

There was an expectation the food would be Glynn Purnell standard given his stature in birmingham. The meat was cooked to perfection but all other things were below par. Cold sides and overcooked Yorkshire puddings lead to a uneventful experience. I don't think we shall be

A wonderful experience from beginning to end!The gluten free menu was fantastic, we were surprised to have so much to choose from...thank you! (Tiniest critism, gluten free rolls would be nicer than thinnly sliced white bread with the sharing platters).By the end of the scallop starter I had decided that I wanted my birthday meal here this year! Each ingredient on the plate has been treated with respect and is full of flavour. Our service was brilliant. Staff are attentive but not over bearing. Was surprised to see Glynn serve creme brulee instead of burnt Cambridge cream :)(Yes I am a fan of Great British Menu...I think the scallop starter was inspired by Glenn's monkfish dish from GBM too!!)Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were fantastic.

We had sunday lunch and from the moment we arrived we were treated as friends not customers, the food was excellent and plentiful. After our meal we were able to enjoy a relaxing drink without rushing. Thank you to all the staff for making it a special birthday occasion for us all.

Came here for dinner in January 2024 and was served by Heidi. Excellent service - she was speedy and very welcoming! Can definitely say I will be returning as the food was also delicious!

Sadly we had the misfortune to dine at the Mount Pub today in Henley-In-Arden.I ordered the 10oz Hereford Sirloin (rare), it came blue, it was sent back only for the second steak to arrive the wrong side of medium!. Now even if I was prepared to ask for another to be fired, which I wasn't, the meal was already ruined. My wife ordered the salt and pepper squid and the Nduja shrimp. The squid batter was soggy, had no real seasoning at all, the shrimp tasted like potted shrimp at best, and the Nduja sauce was oily, only tasted of paprika and had no spicy kick to it at all.Now I could just put this down to a bad day in the kitchen, but I cannot and will not, because surely Glynn Parnell as a chef, never mind a Michelin starred one must have the utmost high and demanding standards for his restaurants, food and service. If he were to have witnessed what we were served today, there would be positions in the kitchen become available immediately, not only because chef had ruined two pieces of choice sirloin steak, but has cost the restaurant £66.00 as well!.Very disappointed, awful food, Valentine’s lunch ruined! Not that Valentines’ day is in any way really different from any other, but it does hurt a little bit more, especially for my wife.Glynn keep your eye on the ball.1/10, and the 1 is for Connor who was front of house, lovely professional member of staff.
