I honestly think people eat so much rubbish I don’t think they know what good food is. I had beef bourguigon and for a chef to send out a meal like what I had and he expects people to return he has lost his taste buds.It was absolutely rubbish I don’t know where he learnt to cook food it must have been in some backstreet pub that just uses packet stuff from supermarkets it was dreadful and totally unprofessional. How the hell can you give a job to somebody sending out food like that

Went to the Leamington Spa Bistrot Pierre on New Year's Eve (a sunday) for lunch, as it appeared to be the only restaurant in town offering more than a traditional sunday lunch menu. We were greeted by Philippe, a very friendly and helpful person. The food was very good. The service was excellent for such a busy lunchtime. I would recommend a visit.

Great service and price. Excellent food, lovely turkey main course. Really friendly staff. Good location in town.

We visited the restaurant for a pre-panto lunch and was slightly concerned at first that we might not be served in time for more than a main course but our fears were unfounded. Great food and great service! Special shout out to Phillipe our server who was amazing. Will be back.

We booked lunch for Christmas Day @ 3pm. We arrived on time only to discover a queue of disgruntled customers waiting outside - in the rain!!!!!? One guy came out saying there was no way he was going to wait any longer. There was no cummunication from anybody to tell us what was happening. We eventually got out of the rain into the small area outside the main doors - out of the rain at least. It was still packed with other customers. So, we waited until a guy "Vijay" (said he was the General Manager) called our name. We had specifically asked, when booking, for a table by the window in the bar area. Vijay said this was not possible and that there was no indication on our booking to reflect this. He was very dismissive - rude in fact, when I questioned him. We were seated at 15:35!! Then we had to ambush somebody to serve us. Our appetiser arrived @ 15:45. Got starters about 30 mins later - both awful - Coqille St Jacques & Prawn Cocktail. Mains arrived with no roast potatoes - had to ask for these!!!! Vegetables were hard and undercooked. Eventually, dessert arrived - not really interested by now. Why accept bookings that you cannot accommodate - servers run ragged. An obvious case of unadulterated greed by management

Arrived promptly for our pre-booked 2:15 table & everything went pear shaped. My husband & I and our two elderly mothers (one of whom is disabled), were left queuing in the rain outside for 30 minutes. We waited an hour for our starters, everything had to be chased up. The mains when they finally arrived were a mixed bag of either under cooked or dried up. The desserts were alright, but by this point we just wanted to get out. Something went very wrong. I suspect as others have suggested management greed to be the culprit for wrecking many a person’s Christmas meal. At £80 per head, we certainly expected better. Never again!

Dined on Christmas Day last year and had a great experience so booked again for Christmas Day 2023 what a mistake although seated promptly service was so slow and we waited 1.5 hours for our starters all ok apart from the prawn cocktail measly portion and hardly any sauce. An hour later came the main course Turkey good but carrots and parsnips very under cooked couldn’t even call aaldente cannot complain about the dessert however we had paid £79.95 per head (£10 more than last year and minus coffee and mince pies) it was disorganised not enough staff and seeing people outside waiting in the rain really ruined the atmosphere. To top it all we had £20 of drinks that weren’t even ours on our bill. I think greed took over and they over booked and couldn’t cope would not risk spending all that money again for such a special day I don’t blame the staff but the management have a lot to answer for!

We went as a family of 12 for Christmas Lunch £80 a head our booking was at 2pm. We waited over 45 minutes for our ist entree another hour for our starter same again for our main which we couldn’t eat frozen roast potatoes raw vegetables and I mean raw and not very warm then dessert we had to ask for. The organisation of the day was very poor the staff were waiting on any table where they should have had a certain area to look after as know one knew what the other was doing. We watched numerous meals return in eaten. People were queueing to get in for over 45 minutes to be seated at there booked table some outside in the rain. Drinks order it was if you could catch someone you might get a drink. We did complain and the knocked £100 of the bill we were over it couldn’t be bothered to argue just wanted to leave. Prior to arriving we had to send in our order a couple of weeks before so they knew exactly what we want which made it worse! I have heard this is a very good restaurant but today greed got in the managements way too many covers and they couldn’t cope so so disappointing on such a special day with my family I haven’t seen for 4 years!

Finding a restaurant at this time of year that didn't have a Christmas theme menu was appreciated. For all the December babies, it must be a pain to conflict with the run-up to Christmas and having to do festive menus with festive prices for their birthday. We had a lovely regular meal with the standard menu and it was very nice food with a couple of menu items I hadn't tried before. Chicken was tender and vegetables done to perfection. Philippe our waiter has great style, humour and he even sang Happy Birthday with a French accent. The Christmas parties next to our table were well behaved unlike last year. Thanks for a memorable meal.

We visit Bistrot Pierre regularly and must often in Leamington Spa. We visited on 10th Dec 23 for Sunday lunch and we had a brilliant experience. Our waiter was Phillipe who has also looked after us on previous occasions. He is amusing, attentive and always ensures you have a great time. Not ‘in your face’ but discreet and helpful. The food was as always delicious.

Just love Pierres. Consistently professional service (especially Phillipe, the Legend) and peaceful atmosphere. Low lighting and continental ambience. Food is delicious but not huge portions. You can save with their app if you are regular.Parking: Free street parking on local streets if you can find a space after 6pm, otherwise there's a meter or ringo app
