Well I haven't been in here for some time when on 4 occasions I lived in New Bilton Area over various years since the 70s. But during the 90s this was the place to visit. What it's like now I haven't a clue. But I'll give it 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from my previous visits. I'll give them a try again soon. Will they get the all important 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ? Only time will tell. Then I'll update this when the time comes ???

There was a hair in the chicken fried rice, sweet and sour sauce smelt off and gloopy, chicken balls were mushy. I haven’t phoned for a refund or anything because with food like that they’re going to need it.

Food was not nice, chicken balls was so greasy you can squeeze the oil out of them, chips luke warm, curry was horrendous. Rang up and all I got was bin it just eat will refund. So now got to chase up with just eat for a refund and order from somewhere else.

We have had a regular weekly delivered ‘treat’ from here since the lock down started and other than one disappointing delivery ( wrong items), we have nothing but praise for this takeaway— 5* all the way from start to finish and we are not easily pleased. Highly recommend this takeaway x

I have had food from Sun Shing many times, and it has been excellent every time, apart from once, when there seemed temporarily to be a different cook. Their Chinese curry is unique – unusually spicy and darker than average: I wish I knew their recipe! Their egg-fried rice (on which I tend to benchmark Chinese restaurants and takeaways) is not quite as brown or fried as I would like, but it's not bad. The young lady who usually serves at the counter is always very friendly and polite. The only thing that gives me pause when visiting Sun Shing is their food hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency: they have been rated as 2/5 ("Improvement necessary") for several years. There must be some reason for that, and I wish that they would fix it, but I have not seen evidence of poor hygiene in the food that I have received.
