What can I say?? We went here for a works drink and it’s the worst pint of Guinness I’ve ever tasted in my life. So sour and tasted like vinegar I complained at the bar and I was told that people had been complaining all day about the Guinness!!! If you know it’s off then why continue to serve it? I then asked for a Camden hells which again wasn’t pouring. 3rd time lucky had a bottle of corrona. Felt sorry for the people behind the bar but i wouldn’t advise going here. Bit of of a sh&t hole if being honest

OK so it was 2 weeks after payday, it was very quite, however service wise from bar staff to doorman was excellent.Didn't eat so can't comment on the food.Nice function room upstairs fir those planning a celebration.Smoking area in the court yard out back.

It was my first time coming to this bar. I was invited for a birthday celebration of one of my work colleagues. Since I arrived in Rugby from London, I seldom go out for a night out only if I am invited for a celebration. And if I go out, I really spend to have an amazing night out. I've checked the venue link ( The Distillery Bar) that my work colleague sent me for the invites. The photos of the venue looked classy , and it seemed a great and decent place to celebrate a special occasion... BUT was the opposite when we arrived at the venue. The drinks were more pricey if compared from the surrounding pubs or bars in the town. I don't mind if you pay extra for the ambience and the service. Though I did enjoy my 'porn star martini' and had 2 orders and was supposed to have some more. But... there's another BUT! Most of my colleagues came from work, and the last meal we had was lunchtime. After a glass of martini, I felt I was going to be sick as I hadn't eaten anything before the drink. The celebrant did not inform us that she was not providing food at the venue... So my friends ( one was our manager from work) and I went down to the main bar to order some food, and they said that they hadn't served food since the Covid. They don't even sell crisps or peanuts or any snacks. So we decided to go out to grab a takeaway to bring it back to the venue. The NOT so nice and NOT so polite ( in other words, Rude!) doorman stopped us and saying "I can not let you in with that food you bought from outside. So I said, we came from a long day of work just to celebrate our friend's special birthday and were starving and there's no any food in your bar. He didn't believe us and went inside to double-check it. I don't mind buying food or even snacks in the bar if there's any, but there's none. The way the doorman spoke to us was like he was talking to teenagers and / or regular troublemakers that regularly come to their pub. I was so shocked the way he spoke to us when he came back. He said, since the birthday celebrant hasn't informed you that's there's no food, I will let you in...in the condition that you will eat only in the garden, but if I see you eating your food upstairs ( The Loft Bar) I will thrown you out. And throw your rubbish in the bin. I really don't want to go back inside that pub, but my manager said we'll just have some of our food so we can have more drinks and enjoy our colleagues' birthday party. It got worse when my husband called me so he could come and join us at the party and I was guiding him where the place was. I was outside at the front door of the bar so he could see me, and whilst talking to my husband over the phone, the barman was talking behind me, and in a abrupt and rude manner saying, where did you throw your rubbish? I said I hadn't finished it, and it's still wrapped upstairs. He said if you will not eat it, I will throw it in the bin!. My husband overheard him from the phone and told me why he's talking so rude to you. I was really shocked and dismayed. I decided to leave early and was not able to enjoy my colleagues' birthday party. My manager and I were even thinking of hiring the whole place for our workdo...I was also going to recommend it to my other workplace but with our appalling experience. I don't think so. It was not only your drinks or the place/ venue you are selling or promoting to your customers or future regular customers but also the staff who provide the service. If the door man can not communicate effectively with your costumers coming in to your bar what more he will be when your customers had a few drinks already. I won't recommend this place for a party venue or any group night out.

Came in on a Friday night, no atmosphere. Staff are nice but there were ants on the bar and in one of our drinks (we sent it back and got a new one). They do not understand the meaning of two for one cocktails. They say they are two for one but we got charged ~£28 for four cocktails (£7.90 each). We asked the bar staff whether the cocktails are two for one, they said yes, but the menu reads “WE OFFER A TWO-4-ONE SAME COCKTAIL ANYTIME FOR £14, BUT LOOK OUT FOR OUR HAPPY HOUR DEALS WHICH GO AS LOW AS £10 FOR SAME COCKTAIL ON 2-4-1 BASIS”. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but my understanding of two for one is you get TWO cocktails for the price of ONE. So if all of their cocktails are ~£7 then you should get TWO cocktails for £7?? So they should either charge the proper price for two for one or just don’t say you do it when you clearly don’t!Will not be coming back, and do not recommend for people looking for two for one deals!! Cocktails weren’t even that great either.

We went here for a birthday party on a Saturday night and all in all not impressed. The coke/lemonade mixers for drinks were flat, staff were told and sent someone to fix but did not work. Got fed up of saying about how flat it was. Advertise cocktails but they don't tell you if your in the basement part cocktails aren't served there, even though they had the shakers/strainers on the side ready to use. The decor of the room was not up to scratch either with wallpaper starting to come off and holes in roof to wire being exposed heading from 'DJ booth' to speakers. Would advise if you book this place make sure not to get the basement level.

I rarely go out but when I do in rugby this is the place to go. You get what you pay for.. Manager is sound and door staff are great. Would recommend

Nice vibe, and a good cocktail, list a bit short.

I like the place but it's a bit on the expensive side for Rugby
