Had festive afternoon tea here - food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Prosecco with raspberries was a nice addition too. Definitely recommend and will return

I booked an afternoon tea for my Mum's 70th birthday in October. On phoning Sue she asked for our dietary requirements and if we wanted anything in particular on the day.The Hideout is in a great location, quiet and cosy behind the church in town and once we arrived, were seated at our reserved table and promptly served the biggest pot of tea we've ever had!The afternoon tea soon arrived and was much more than the two of us could manage. Everything was delicious and, most importantly, fresh - you could tell immediately that Sue and her staff had just made the sandwiches. It was such a lovely experience and Sue ensured we were happy and had enough tea throughout. Anything left over was boxed up so we could enjoy the rest at home.Unbeknownst to us, Sue had purchased some flowers for my mum and presented them to her when I was paying. This was such a special touch and was the perfect ending to our afternoon tea experience.You can tell that Sue and the rest of the staff are passionate about what they do. They're so friendly and welcoming - it's no a surprise that The Hideout is full of regulars.Thank you so much Sue & co, we can't wait to return for another special treat!
