It’s an old, historical setting and I recommend sitting in the actor’s bar, surrounded by photos and messages of the many famous faces that have enjoyed a drink there over the years.”

“Beautiful Sunday roast with all the trimming cooked to perfection. Many times you find roast that fall short in some of the items, but No 44 delivered everything. Special mention to the sauce, deep, rich and glossy. The beef could have been cut thinner in several slices instead of a thick one but the cooking and taste was excellent. Had Venison carpaccio for starter what is was refined and delicate, however did not come with truffle as mentioned on menu. Wine by the glass selection is good, I would recomend the Australian shiraz juicy and vibrant was a perfect match for the meal. Customer service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere was wonderful with live ambient piano music.”
