This is a great little local restaurant. The building is an old Tudor style property with wooden exposed beams, low doors so you have to mind your head if you’re over 5ft 6in. It has a great atmosphere. The staff are so attentive and want to ensure you have a good time/experience. The food was great - tbh. of all the times I have eaten here I have always had a great quality of meal. The waitress (Emily) was really friendly and looked after us and Alice was great ensuring we had the right food and condiments. This is a gem of a restaurant.

Located in the town centre in a typical ancient building carefully restored with plenty of atmosphere. An excellent and lively staff gave good service. The fixed price menu offered some good choices. A starter of fish croquettes was crunchy, creamy and delicious while a main course of chicken supreme with tiny potatoes was juicy and tender. I was less impressed by the over-microwaved sticky toffee sponge pudding and artificial flavoured banana ice cream. But still, decent value, welcoming and enjoyable.
