We returned to the restaurant for special occasion as previous visit was exceptional, however, we were sitted in a hidden corner even though there were plenty of empty tables.Food was below average, very disappointing, nothing special. The bread that was served with the soup was not fresh. The soup OK, but nothing special.Desert cutlery was placed on the table without napkins, which is also unhygienic. My coffee cup was chipped. The desert did not taste fresh, some was very dry.Overall we were very disappointed today considering the location and high price, which we don't mind to pay, but today was not worth it.We won't be back.Dietary restrictions: Vegan

Twice we’ve been here and twice we’ve been made to feel unwelcome. The staff can’t be bothered, we were told to sit anywhere by the windows and then once we settled down, they said we can’t sit there as it was reserved (no sign). So we had to move literally one table over. Then we had to go to the bar to order and then fetch the drinks ourselves, we spent more time working there ferrying back and forth from the bar than sat down enjoying our lunch. We had friends visiting from the states and we felt embarrassed that we foolishly chose this restaurant as our spot for lunch. You’re in the hospitality sector, try to be more hospitable…

As always - the food and service was excellent and the restaurant space a delight. Also entertained by a pipistrelle in the tree tops during our meal. And great alcohol free IPA beer by Purity - the best I've tasted.

Went for a pre-theare 3-course dinner, and it's delicious. The food menu is ok interesting, with good presentation and decent volume. The drink menu is interesting, recommend the basil smash!

Had lunch here for Mothering Sunday - first time visit. Really impressed with the service, the food, the view, the acoustics of the place, the seating and comfy chairs, the drinks menu and the climate in the dining area. Everything is geared towards a great experience. 10% tip is charged and I have no problems with that. Will be back.

I booked in for afternoon tea for one the day I arrived in Stratford-upon-Avon, my first time back in years. The food was amazing and the team could not have done a better job making sure they understood my intolerance (egg, always difficult to explain), putting me at ease, and making sure the substitutions were spot on. The food was fab and the whole experience was a great start to my holiday.

Location at the top of the theatre has great views. The lunch time set menu was excellent value with a great range of options including dairy and gluten free. Starters included salmon bruschetta with a gluten free alternative and spicy pakoras. Main course of cod was beautifully cooked and vegetables and potatoes delicious.

Spent valentines spoiling my wife with a pre show dinner. The venue is spectacular, overlooking the river avon. The food was very high quality and perfectly prepared. The deserts were just right with a great selection. The service was top notch with te staff polite, attentive and knowledgeable. The biggest surprise was the bill, it was half what I was expecting. Value for money is off the chart, fantastic venue and service.Thank you for making it special.

We love this restaurant. The setting is a wonderful fusion of new and old. The staff are so lovely and attentive. The food is excellent. Prices reasonable. A perfect pre theatre meal. But would be good as a destination even if you’re not going to one of the amazing shows.

We absolutely loved this! A lunch for 4 before am amazingly good show. The staff were well trained professionals delivering efficient, friendly service and the food was interesting and tasty. The view was, as you would expect stunning. The menu is not extensive but takes in a wide range of tastes with vegan and vedgi options. Nothing is perfect so after a long reflection we found something negative......... the desert two of us ate was so large it could have benefited from a spoonful more of the custard.

Despite the performance being cancelled, it was great to be able to eat in the restaurant. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, really tasty and served quickly and was hot. We will definitely be back.

A great way to combine a show and meal without the worry of being late for the start of the show a great pre theatre menu all served in very good

We weren't an easy party -- 15 people of various ages, spread across 2 tables -- but our waitress Abigail was a miracle of unobtrusive, empathetic competence throughout. We were dead on time for the show without even needing to worry about it, after an excellent and convivial meal (the wines and the set menu were both perfect). Abigail's performance was at least as good as any on display on the stage.Wheelchair accessibility: The Rooftop really looks after wheelchair users.

My food allergies/intolerances were taken into account and everything was great. The meal was brilliant- fresh and cooked really well. Absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly and extremely attentive - very helpful. The restaurant is our treat and will continue to be so. Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: Extremely accommodating and helpful. It wasn't an issue at all to them.
