Absolutly love this place. My girlfriend and I come here all the time. The staff are always warm and welcoming. The atmosphere too is great with wine hanging on the walls and creative lights. The food too is amazing and always very filling. Recommend this place 10/10.

We did the 'trip to siciliy' wine tasting with Ellie and she was brilliant. Very informative, fun and easy to to chat with. Would recommend coming to Veeno and Ellie as a server.

I am very confused because the reviews are all brilliant and completely opposite to our experience.I will be honest. It was dreadful from start to finish. The restaurant was pretty much empty. They have these amazing booths and seats for people to sit at and we asked for one but were told that we would have to sit in the far corner. The table we were given was out of sight of the restaurant.We were fine with this however, a few minutes later another couple came in and the same waiter offered them a seat and they said they would prefer a booth. Guess what; she happily agreed. Me and my partner were baffled.We then waited for around 30 minutes before our food order was taken. The waiter came over. Took the order without his tablet. Waited for us to complete the lengthy order before saying he needed to get his tablet. So we had to go through it again.The food took absolutely ages. Not only did it take ages, my partner’s orders were wrong both on her main and her starter! She tried getting someone’s attention but we were hidden from view. She got up to find someone but they were nowhere to be seen.The food was not great. The pizzas tasted like they were made by 5 year olds. No flavour and the tomato tasted like beans.The service was bad, From the beginning the waiters clearly didnt like us or clearly didnt think we suited the aesthetic of the place. I dont know why. One of the main table had screaming toddlers who were running around.Another issue was when asking for a refill of a drink, I was just given a glass bottle. No fresh glass. Quite disgusting considering they charge £4 for a 330ml bottle of coke.When we were done with our meal we had to get up to find a waiter and ask for the bill. I then watched that waiter serve 6-7 tables first. She was actively going to other tables asking if they needed anything. Not once did someone ask us but more frustratingly, I had asked for the bill and she was prioritising other customers.I have never left a restaurant before thinking “why was i treated differently to other customers”. We were in our little corner for around 2 hours.I am a fair person, and one thing this venue does well is the decor and vibe. Replace the staff and chef and you’ll have a much better restaurant.
