there was 12 of members of family in our group we keep asking for some think off the menu all thay keeped saying how many 6 we keeped saying no 12 theres 12 off us never got our 12 items at all 28.50 pounds a head more like 3 pounds

We used the restaurant last nigh and had a very bad experience due to the rudeness of the owners, we have used the restaurant on many occasion and had no problem we are well known at the restaurant, with staff and management, when ordering food we were questioned why we wanted two dishes that were similar and ask to choose just the one?we ordered dishes for our main menu then was approached by the owner to ask if we were going to eat the dishes we had ordered ? I explained that the portions were small and the amount we ordered was except able reminding them it was eat all you can buffet and was only a few choices made by each of us, two of the dishes when brought to us were cold and was sent back never to return again, plus a dish ordered was not brought out.I ask to speak with the restaurant owner before we payed the bill we were left a long while and just ignored with dirty plates on the table, eventually we we approached, I explained the grievances I had with the rudeness of both the owners, the reply was because they were busy ???we certainly will not be returning to this restaurant after many years and was really upset by how we were treated. I only hope they have learned from this experience.

Had food to take away, and really did not disappoint. In particular enjoyed the Kung po prawn, prawn toast and the ribs. Definitely recommend the food!

Where do I begin. The food was exceptionally poor with tiny portions. I ordered crispy duck and pancakes and it was awful, very dry nothing crispy about I just did not eat it when the owner cleared the plates my partner mentioned to him that the duck was very dry and that is why I had not eaten it he was so so rude telling us he was the owner no one else had complained and it was crispy duck and we could leave if we wanted to. The customer at summer palace is obviously always wrong in his eyes and never right. We finished up with a prawn dish for my p[artner which he said was ok and Thai green chicken curry for me it was more like a chinese curry with tomatoes in just not enjoyable. The price was £28.50 per person it is just not worth it and the food certainly does not warrant the price. Having now read the reviews on trip advisor I realise I am not alone in my thinking and I like many others will not return.

Nice variant on the 'all you can eat' buffet, with a sit-down menu that you can order whatever you like from as many times as you like, with very fast service. Food is good quality too. Strangely, you do have to pay £4 extra for a dessert though.

Don't order the chilli garlic beef. Was as dry as cardboard and seemed to be purely batter without a hint of garlic, chilli or beef flavour. WhenI sent it back, rather than apologise or offer an alternative, the manager came out to argue that I was wrong, that there was nothing wrong with the dish and that I was the first person who had ever complained about it. Shocking response to a complaint.

Came here this evening with my partner the food and service was top notch. We ordered so much food for the two of us and every plate of food was delicious. Service was outstanding and would definitely recommend this place to anybody who enjoys a nice Chinese.
