I’m in here most Saturday afternoons! Friendly staff and the food is decent, particularly the breakfast. As with any Wetherspoons it has its share of one eyed leg draggers but don’t let that put you off, this is a pretty good pub!??

Very good Wetherspoon pub. We visited a few days in a row whilst visiting the area, it was always busy. One night we couldn’t find a table so one of the staff found one a for us and cleared it.

Easy to get to, enough surrounding car parking, lovely big space and decor, very busy due to school holidays, bit still got a table, was special friends birthday, staff let us bring balloons and birthday cake,, very accommodating,, order food from bar,, very big selection of food for different diets and alegies,, we had curry, steak, halumi. And all was enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff,, they were rushed off their feet,,Great place,Great Food,great price.

Popped in for breakfast with the wife this morning, now I never expect much from a spoons but this place is the best I've visited young lad on the bar was professional but friendly, food came quick which I was surprised at as it was busy for a Sunday morning great food could of been a little hotter but wasn't unbearably cold like most spoons serve

I've been using the Avion for all but 1 month, 9 years since i turned 18.I’ve never had a problem with the security until the last 6 weeks where one seems to have nothing better to do than stop me every single Saturday night, even tho he as been told multiple times by more senior members of security im of age and has seen my id every Saturday for the last month. Either he has serious memory issues or as i feel is abundantly obvious, the guy is seriously power tripping when non of the long standing security guards are on the door to keep him in line, he really shouldn't be in the job.At this point it is starting to verge on harassment.i really wouldn't mind if they kept the trouble out but there useless, when they see a fight or any trouble at all they run in the opposite direction so quick its unliveable and all of the bar staff I've spoken to over the last few weeks haven’t got a single good word to say about them.Honestly the bar staff do a 10 fold better job than the current bunch of security ever do, ridiculous when they are paid to do a job and end up doing nothing but annoying regular customers.

This is one of the nicest Wetherspoons I have visited. An old cinema, where the end where the screen used to be now a wall of glass which lets in plenty of light. There is a big Morrison's car park behind the pub.Service is always friendly.One downside is the breakfast. On a Sunday it seems like they prepare in advance which means the food is at best luke warm, bacon undercooked and my wife's vegetarian sausage like a block of wood.One other thing I do like here is the separate hot/cold water machine. It means, as a tea drinker, that I don't get powdered milk residue in my tea, which usually happens when using a coffee machine for hot water.

Lunch out on Friday, had standard fish and chips.Chips and peas ok, but have to say I've had thicker fish fingers. Part of fish was just batter. Should have complained but place was heaving. Had already taken longer than normal to get our food order and we had time constraints.

We haven’t been for breakfast for a while at the Avion, I do think we will rush back. The size of the breakfast was disappointing only one rashers of extremely crispy bacon on both the traditional and large breakfast. The plates were very large making what we had look lost on the plate. The worse thing was watching you breakfast standing under the hot plate whilst it was being put together. It was there for nearly 10 minutes with the eggs being one of the first items put on the plate, still cooking under the heat. Staff certainly looked unhappy with their jobs, which was sad to see.

I always like a Wetherspoons even if it is really crowded. The Avion is a really iconic building and great that it has been saved. The food was good too. What is not to like at their prices.
