I normally love Caffé Nero but this was a disappointing experience. Server messed up my order and I ended up with the wrong drink. Only realised afterwards and the place was so busy, I couldn’t be bothered to complain. Much better to do some passive aggressive complaining on here. Cinnamon swirl was still top notch though.

Queued for ages to be told no iced drinks (in a heatwave) these things happen but maybe put a sign on the door?

Caffe Nero is usually great but the Mere Green branch is a nightmare. It's an awkward shape at any time but when it is busy the congestion is terrible.Today the service was very, very slow. The queue was long and it took me over 10 minutes to get to the front. On top of this the tables weren't being cleared quickly enough and I had to make a clear space myself.I think this branch needs looking at with possibly new management.
Tried here as a change from Costa coffee, which were quite rude on our last visit in Mere Green. Where their coffee was undrinkable and just looked like hot milk. Anyway enjoyed our toasted sandwiches at Nero especially the cheese and mushroom one and cheese and tomato was very nice too. Pleasant staff, asked for extra hot lattes and that’s what we got, unlike Costa. Could do with a bit of a clean up as nothing is getting swept from under the tables, just a quick wipe on the top. Hubby visited toilet and said that could have done with a good scrub too and seat needed fixing.. Not rocket science ! But will visit again when shopping local.

Been here a few times, its one of our faves, and when visiting today, (4 June 23) I found the two girls to be very helpful and friendly which made the visit more enjoyable.
