This place is fantastic. Every dish presented flawlessly, flavours combined to perfection, having eaten many Peruvian meals in Lima and elsewhere, very authentic. Definitely had far too many courses but it was worth it!!

We are here on 7th March. The service was great, the staff are extremely welcoming.Everything we ate was great. the sea bream Ceviche was absolutely outstanding. Also recommend the beef fillet, the celeriac purée was like caramel. Incredible!Highly recommended!

One of the best restaurants I have been to. The food was amazing, the employees were so kind and the atmosphere so confortable. I highly recommend to go ! Just remember to book in advance :)Kid-friendliness: I saw the employee pull out a high chair for a baby

Chakana is a gem. The staff are really friendly and fun to speak to. The menu is varied and as vegans- we felt very accommodated. Lots of delicious options! The food is colourful, interesting and very different. They don't rely on meat substitutes, instead they craft each plant based dish with care and attention to make the veggies shine! My wife really enjoyed the artichoke ceviche whilst I demolished the carrot saltadito and asparagus causa. We also really enjoyed the dragon fruit Tiradito! The drinks are prepared with as much love as the food. Their pisco sours can be made vegan- delicious. I had a nikkei time which was honestly amazing. Can't recommend Chakana enough!Vegetarian options: Great vegan options

Amazing food, one of our favourite restaurants in Birmingham! We’ve eaten Chakana food twice - once in the restaurant (my husband and I had the tasting menu) and the other time we had it as take away - we’ve just had a baby and they were so accommodating, so that we could bring the food home. None of the flavour was lost, it was as good as when we had it in the restaurant! Exceptional service. The ceviche was my personal favourite and my husband liked the suckling pig the most. We will be definitely coming back.

Amazing, loved everything. Food was delicious, my favourite was the sea bream ceviche. Relaxing atmosphere and the service was especially excellent, they are so friendly and make you feel at home. 10/10Parking: Was difficult to get a spot for street parking, recommend Uber if possible
We've come here to celebrate a birthday and what a way to celebrate! Great food and drinks all the way from Peru. Definitely recommend

I recently enjoyed a lovely evening at Chakana with my wife, we both went for the tasting menu. It was a great introduction to Peruvian cuisine, each dish was so balanced and packed with flavour. The presentation of each dish is amazing, colourful and exciting, it’s a real conversation starter. Serving staff explain the dishes which adds to the experience. We also enjoyed the wine suggestions, top notch.

The ceviche was really great but I had the full tasting menu and it fell a little flat compared to other tasting menus. I was so excited to try chakana and sadly it didn't live up to the hype or the standards of other Birmingham tasting menus. The service was also very slow in the middle and the atmosphere just felt like a normal restaurant, not bad just nothing special.
