2020 - It’s a nice pub, the staff are nice, the food is hit and miss hence the missing star but the kids bit outside is a plus.2024- The management has changed since my last review and they seem to think serving freezing cold food is acceptable because the only hire one person in the kitchen on a week day afternoon. Maybe if you managed better you wouldn’t have this problem and i don’t understand how the management explain their mess up by adding more fault and admitting they are cutting cost and not hiring enough staff. The manager was also nowhere to be seen until i had to raise my voice and was letting on young girl run the bar and serve the food. We had to wait 7 mins at the bar just to order the food that came cold because the girl was serving food. The manager? Just chilling out back. Her name is Joe and her attitude to running a pub successfully is just embarrassing for the pub and green king as a company. I used to manage a green king pub myself back in 2009 so I know this is not how they expect their staff to be.

I had the best mighty mixed grill from here I think I have ever had. I absolutely loved it. £13 for a mixed grill is excellent based on some pubs these days. This is a green king chain. I will definitely be coming back with my wife for some food and drinks and maybe the kids. Well done to all the staff they were very happy,polite and helpful.
Went there today and had the Steak and Ruddles Ale pie and mash. Gorgeous. You can easily taste and smell the Ruddles. Gravey nice and thick. Even the San Miguel tasted fine. Service was lovely and quick. Very busy but the place is huge so you're not cramped. Even had a little TV at our table fitted into the partition wall so watched the Wales/Irish game.

Staff are fantastic always happy to accommodate the menu, the food is cooked to perfection and service was great ,we always dine here at least once a week .Parking: Never had any problems with a parking spot !!!.
