Pre booked with the owner for a large table. He gave me Waz’s number to sort it all out- Waz was extremely helpful and made the night run very smooth. Work meal out and definitely recommend! Great service Fast service Very fast food - one of the best! Will definitely come again inshaallah

Walking into Grillz, we noticed a few tables free which needed cleaning and thought the wait wouldn't be too long. After waiting at the entrance for around 7 minutes (during which the gentleman at the reception desk remained on the phone and did not glance over), we were then approached by a waiter who asked 'table for two?' Without even a simple 'hello'. I replied 'yes please', to which h the waiter responded 'okay there's a wait, just sit down (pointing to the waiting area), at this point; a family were already sat in this area which meant that no seats were empty. I replied 'there are no seats' to which the waiter responded 'I was just joking'. Shocking at how paying customers are spoken to. A family member of mine had a terrible experience here 2 years ago, and had to leave the table without eating- onbths occasion, the manager of the restaurant was extremely rude and unprofessional- I personally went today for the first time, only to see the exact poor level of service and sheer disgraceful attitude of the people working here. In additioon, the restaurant does not accept cash, making it even easier to reject this ridiculous and pathetic excuse for a restaurant. We of course did not dine here in the end, and ended up going to Al Faisal's restaurant on Stoney Lane where the service was excellent. Save your hard earned money to spend elsewhere.

Phoned yesterday, spoke to a gentleman to reserve a table for today. Called today and spoke to a lady who advised me "sorry, we are fully booked, you should have called yesterday". Really disappointed with this service.

DO NOT EAT HERE! I cannot believe this place has such high reviews! From the awful customer service to absolute unprofessional ism. I had booked a table weeks in advance for me and my family who had travelled to birmingham from London and Nottingham to break our fast during Ramadan and once all 30 of us had arrived we were rudely refused a table. When I booked the table I spoke to a guy named ‘waz’ and had given him all of our food orders in advance like he’d asked. Even the day before he assured me that our table was still available. When we arrived ahead of iftaar he denied us ever booking!!! I showed him the messages between himself and I and was so confused. It turns out he just gave our seats to walk ins. He was playing ignorant and we were left stranded 10 mins before breaking our fast with our children. I then checked reviews and saw that he had done this to other people. There are so many better places to eat in birmingham, do not support this guy! May Allah swt forgive him.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this was necessary. Came during Ramadan with my family from all cities. We were a large group so booked a week in advance through Waz via WhatsApp to which he even pre took our orders. We arrived to the restaurant on the day for Waz to have no acknowledgment of the booking. He was very rude and disrespectful to my family. We told Waz that we had conversations with him on WhatsApp confirming the booking and he had surprisingly deleted the messages and acted unprofessional. Me and my family were all fasting at the time and it was a Saturday night meal that we had arranged for a long time for Waz to have ruined it. He obviously just wanted quick money and therefore just let walk ins take our table instead of actually reserving it. We received no apology and only rude words from the staff. Would not recommend to anyone.

Do Not Go With Family! this place is a disgrace they treat customers very bad. i strongly advise people not to go there they treated my family very bad right before iftar time in the month of ramadan . we was lucky enough that we found another restaurant that catered for us. pathetic and a disgrace this place has as workers.

If you ever want a nice place to eat which provides excellent customer service then this is 100% not the place to go. Me and my family had booked a family meal here to break our fast weeks prior only to have turned up and been denied our reservation leaving us stranded in Birmingham’s with no where to eat and 20 mins left to break our fast. We questioned the manager in a calm and orderly manner to then being accused of liars and being told rudely to exit the place. We then asked him to show us the messages to reveal that we had booked our reservation to which he then left the site and quickly deleted the messages in an unprofessional manner. My younger nieces and nephew were starving and we only had 10 mins to find another spot in Birmingham during iftar time. I highly advise you stay away from this area place!

DO NOT DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO. Me and my family of 30 people booked an evening reservation a week in advance. Myself and my family travelled all the way from London. There was messages back and forth from ourselves to the restaurant what’s app. The restaurant manager (Waz) had replied acknowledged and confirmed our booking via what’s app and phone. However upon our arrival my sister had been told we do not have a reservation and was very rudely told to go. When I was told how they basically just about took note of her existence. I collected the screenshots from my family of the conversation and confirmation of our booking and calmly confronted the manager (Waz) to which the manager could not explain how or why they do not have any record of the booking. They also showed me the what’s app conversation on their phone where you could clearly see someone on their end had deleted the messages. They admitted and acknowledged the messages had been deleted on their phone but did not apologise once. I didn’t want to argue as I was fasting even though I was fuming in regards to how they spoke/treated my sister. I asked if they had space to seat us to which I got a very blunt no and no apology or remorse what so ever. I understand things happen things go wrong but this was not unintentional and the response from management was disgraceful along with the treatment of my sister and family. I cannot comment on the food but if the customer service is like this before even eating I would hate to experience an issue with the food. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS AND MAKE SURE TO WARN YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY ESPECIALLY FEMALES OF THE HORRIFYING SERVICE THEY CAN EXPECT FROM THIS PLACE

I was extremely disappointed with the treatment myself and my family received from this restaurant. We arrived in plenty of time with confirmation of our booking and food preordered, to then be turned away at the door by a vile excuse of a man called waz, who not only disrespected my family but also openly lied about accepting the booking despite being presented with proof. He became hostile and extremely argumentative demanding we ‘get out’ despite us remaining extremely calm throughout the entire interaction. After fasting all day and travelling all the way from Nottingham it was an extremely stressful situation to be left in by this establishment. Prior to this visit I had heard nothing but bad reviews about this place, despite this I had decided to give them the benefit of doubt however following this experience of mine I will be making sure to never return to your establishment, as well as make it known to my friends and family to never visit here.

WAZ was the most rude and disrespectful manager ever. He completely wasted my entire family’s time. We went for a birthday meal and was completely disrespected. To the point where he lied and told us to “get out”. We had little kids with us and family members who were fasting. Please do not waste your time coming here. You’ll be terribly disappointed. Mughal E Azam is thankfully 6 minutes away and serve amazing food and top tier customer service. They catered for our entire family of 30 and gave us a private seating upstairs. WAZ needs to be fired for his appalling behaviour. A truly disgusting guy. In the holy month of Ramadan the guy lied and turned my family away at the door even though we had booked two weeks prior. We had WhatsApp messages to show proof of the booking and even the food order we had placed. Do better as an established restaurant your customer service is dishonest and diabolical.

absolutely terrible the worst kind of costumer service i have ever come across.we made a booking via whatsapp .messages was being back and forth to the point my orders for the night was taken as it was a large group of people .come the day (WAZ) guy deleted the chats and told us to leave and no booking was made. We proved he deleted them while the whole time he didnt take no accountability of his wrong doing. I just dont get how a establishment is getting away with such a sordid behavior .PLEASE AVOID.

Made a booking for a big table, WAZ took the booking and confirmed the booking. We turn up on the day and he says there isn’t a booking under my name. I showed my WhatsApp order and messages. All these messages were deleted on his phone but still there on mine. We had family from Nottingham Walsall and London we had to quickly find somewhere to cater for 30 of us in the month of Ramadan. Absolutely devastated we had to go through this whilst fasting and told to “get out” by WAZ. Avoid at all cost save your money and time.

Please avoid this place, we booked this place for a big group last week during the month of Ramadan. The manager WAZ confirmed our booking and even took our orders down. We had family arrive from London, Nottingham and all over for this birthday iftar. We turned up and the same man WAZ said there is no booking and that “we all should leave” those were his exact words! When we showed him the WhatsApp messages to confirm our table and order we could see he had deleted the messages and he had the nerve to deny it all. He was rude, arrogant and a vile person to speak too! There was other customers and workers there watching this unfold. We were devastated as there was 30 people that needed to break their fasts with nowhere to go. Thankfully Mughal E Azaam was about 6 mins away and by Allahs grace they actually catered for all 30 of us at such last minute and even gave us a private balcony for us all.

Never ever again!!!! The worst service and attitude from waiters and management! They only serve 6 glasses of water, we were 16 people! Go figure!!! Having never been here, we arrived for a birthday dinner, the menu looked good but I regretted it as soon as it arrived! The starters and mains were served at the same time, even after we had told them to serve after the starters! The reply was that the food was already prepared and they had to serve it! The food arrived and it was literally just scattered all over the place and we were juggling the dishes around to each other, no help from waiters, just an attitude! We asked for more water, we were told to empty the first 6 glasses and we will serve the other 6 glasses, when did this rule coke in? Overall, food was mediocre, service was atrocious, wouldn’t be coming again and I wouldn’t recommend it to others either! Maybe try somewhere else!
