To begin, I must express my disappointment with the recent menu changes, particularly the removal of a beloved pizza. The decision to replace the classic Veniciana with the Padana is bewildering. It's perplexing to eliminate a pizza that has garnered a wide appreciation, even from those of us who are not vegetarians; it was always my preferred choice.Additionally, the removal of Tabasco sauce after more than 30 years is equally baffling. Pizza Express has long offered this condiment to add a much-needed zest to their pizzas, which, frankly, can be somewhat lackluster without it. What was it replaced with? Dry chilli flakes and chilli oil Whaaat! Hey pizza express let's be clear, don't pretend to be anything other than a pizza joint.Given these changes, I'm hesitant to return anytime soon.

Great service, good pizza, reasonable salad. Eye wateringly expensive drinks. Got close to panicking trying to escape from the bullring as most doors were locked when we left.

Been to pizza express Birmingham bull ring a few times with family and friends with no problems food and staff were both amazing. However, I went a couple of days ago for lunch, and my opinion has changed dramatically. The staff weren’t friendly at all, which created a hostile environment which made me and my friend feel uncomfortable when having to order our meal. When ordering our meals, I was forced to upgrade my pizza to a “thinner” dish which I did not want and felt I could not disagree with. My friend ordered what she thought would be a carbonara, but was instead a curdled crunchy mess.Very disappointed with what has happened as this used to be one of my favourite restaurants.

My first time at a Pizza Express, this was a decent location and the seating inside was nice. Very attentive and friendly staff. The food was a little expensive for the quality, I got the dough balls and beetroot salad. I feel a bit robbed paying so much for a simple salad. I probably won't return.

Great pizzas. The location on a shopping centre makes it hard to have a true atmosphere.Staff were good, just a little distracted. You know what you are going to get and quality did not disappoint

Excellent lunch, very friendly and speedy service, and because I am a vip member I took advantage of the 50% discount on pizza’s which is available until the 25th January, excellent value for money!

With Pitti Uomo coming up this week, I was in the mood for some Italian food. However my children were feeling something completely different so we found a common ground with Pizza Express. If you are a parent, then you would know children love things oddities such as butter so they ordered that with some dough balls. These are always very tasty for carb lovers so you can’t go amiss with this.Next thing to arrive was the magherita pizza which doesn’t necessarily hit the spot but does a good enough job. They do special deals for children so they can enjoy a three course meal for very cheap. Maybe the price represents the quality of food but it is value for money. If you are looking for some proper Italian cuisine then this may not be the place for it or even an alternative but for a decent lunch option in a middle of a shopping centre then it’s not so bad.Kid-friendliness: They offer kids some activities to do along with crayons to keep them entertained but with tik tok brains, their attention quickly spans to wanting a device

Was very busy when we visited and found the narrow entrance/exit alley a bit cramped waiting for a table with people going past. The food was delicious though.
