Superb food and wonderful service, this is a great restaurant for a special treat. It’s very expensive, but it’s worth it. My wife and I are both pescatarian and my wife is also allergic to beetroot, and I have this commented on my Open Table account, but Simpsons take that and go the extra mile presenting a bespoke menu for my wife. That’s very considerate and shows great care and attention to service. We had a tasting menu which took about two-and-a-half hours to eat, and it’s incredible how quickly the time went.

Have always wanted to have a meal here and it was every bit as good as I hoped. We were met and taken to a comfortable sitting room where excellent tasting snacks were provided. In the main restaurant we had the 7-course tasting menu and it was a delight. Will definitely return.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a very small car park at the back of the restaurant with a ramp (wheelchair users should avoid the main car park at the front which has no ramp). Inside the restaurant they can position a ramp to avoid one step. We didn't try the toilets so nothing to report there.

Relaxed atmosphere with wonderful, helpful and thoughtful staff. The food was sublime. I don't know why it has taken us so long to go there.

Glorious and sublime food … but … felt the ambiance today just not quite ‘there’ - one service member we found quite surly and cold in approach and wine got forgotten about despite ordering. We missed having pristine table linen as in covering and the room just felt a little cold and soulless. You don’t go to a Michelin starred restaurant and not expect to pay handsomely however I concur with other contributors who have reviewed in that it’s actually getting way too pricey … lovely Christmas treat for myself and my family though and we enjoyed ourselves - just didn’t get the wow factor with the experience as a whole ….

£75+12.5% mandatory service charge = £83 for 3 course lunch, with two choices for each course. One starter was beetroot: one was cod. For these prices I expect something more interesting. Food was good. Service friendly. No atmosphere at all. I won’t be returning.
Outstanding in every way. Staff are super friendly, the food is sublime and the wine pairings are thought out and make sense.Andrea is a legend. Jacamo and Josh add a depth to the experience that helps make the Simpsons experience unique. This is the most underrated 1 star in the UK. Knocks spots off its local competition.

This remains one of my favourite restaurants in the UK. The core is superb ingredients, expertly cooked, and served with skill. They are not trying too hard. The house and dining rooms are gorgeous. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and attentive. Oh, and friendly.I’ve become disillusioned by much more expensive restaurants which used to have a reputation for excellence (like Le Manoir), but at half the price Simpson’s delivers. Consistently.

Went to Simpsons to celebrate my husband's birthday and had made them aware of this too. The food was brilliant but felt let down that the occasion was not recognised at all. A small birthday cake as a token would have been lovely. We also went for a meal here 2 years ago for my husband's birtgday and I felt the staff had been better and more attentive in the past and had acknowledged his birthday with a small dessert, which at £130 per person for the meal is not too much to ask!

Good evening,We have just visited your restaurant this evening and felt compelled to inform you of the excellent service we received during our meal. The meal was fantastic and our preferences were accommodated without question. I have to congratulate the kitchen staff as the food was first class - the ‘nibbles’ were fantastic and the cod was my favourite dish and I don’t even like fish!A special shout out to the waiting staff that made our evening , Harriet very friendly and attentive as was Jessica , josh and Sara were the perfect hosts. Lastly was Freddie;friendly ,great fun and engaging a true asset to your team!I wanted to share this positive experience as far to often these day people only share the negatives and tonight there was none. Truly a birthday to remember. So thank you allParking: Parking on site
