Second visit here - amazing food again. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. I love cooking but it’s a real pleasure to eat the food of a professional chef- his sweetcorn soup with a little sweetcorn dumpling was so tasty- seasoned perfectly. The scallop was amazing too. Can’t fault anything. We love the fact we take our own wine, for the high quality of ingredients used and the fine dining / Michelin standard of food it’s good value and we’ll be back soon.

Most amazing meal tonight. We loved every single one of the 7 courses, cooked with passion and the best quality ingredients. Great atmosphere, only 12 guests, it is like eating at home but Michelin standards. Thanks to Chef Tony and his wife Debbie for a wonderful evening.

I visited last night for friends 50th Birthday for the first time. This is a truly unique experience of fine dining. Great food a lovely atmoshere and great service. Every course was beautifully hand crafted and very tasty. I had to pinch myself that I was tasting food of such a high standard within our lovely city as it was definitely more than worthy of a dining experience in London or other European capitals. For a wonderful experience I highly recommend visiting for the gourmet food evening. I will be saving up for another visit for sure.

This was my second visit! I love this dining experience! Not only is the food absolutely delicious and top quality, the atmosphere and casual dining experience, bringing you fine dining quality courses, elevates the evening as a whole. Courses are larger than most tasting menus so is great value for money! The chef/hosts love to interact and get involved with their guests which makes it a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended! Also a great way to meet new friends and like mInded people who appreciate great food! You can see and taste the time and effort put into each of the dishes, absolutely exquisite! Menu changes each month! I will be going again! Well done guys! you really deserve more recognition and commendation for what you have achieved at Gourmet Food Kitchen!

Always top quality food prepared by hand (bacon cured in house and black pudding made not bought in, and the mushrooms are to die for...). Came here to treat myself before a long day ahead and I am pretty sure I will be up and running right through after this!

Another fantastic night at the Gourmet Kitchen! Having been a few times now I have to say every visit gets better and better. We started with the crab bisque, this was served with homemade bread and a drop of rouille. It was flavourful and had a slight warmth from white pepper. As a non crab eater I found thus delicate yet a beautiful introduction to crab. I the side was a mini homemade bagel with white crab meat in a light dressing. This was delicious and I will certainly have crab again. The next course was a duck liver parfait on a mille-feuille delicate pastry with a beetroot glaze, this was presented like a dessert but was the most savoury soft parfait and was just mouth wateringly good. Next was a smoked fish croquet, a lovely hake and mixed smoked fish lightly crumbed on a bed of soft leak or baby onion in a light sauce. We had a red wine granite to cleanse and give a small break before the main. I could do with a slush machine that made this for hot days in my garden, the fruity sharp flavours with the wine is like the best adult slush ever! The main course was the lamb and whilst I have had lamb here before, this was the most tender lamb I have ever eaten. A slow cooked rolled shoulder with a soft creamy mash, petit pois and podded beans in a gravy with GFK own smoked lardons. The lamb I'm still dreaming of... The gravy I could of drank by the pint! It was utterly devine and one of my favourite mains here so far. With very little room left the apple and blackberry frangipan was luckily a light as a feather. Very fluffy light and served with a blackberry sorbet that was rich and complimented the tart perfectly. Just enough space for some petit fours and a coffee or tea of choice rounded it all off. Can't wait for the next visit!

Absolutely sensational. I'd seen good reviews on Trip Advisor but I had no idea this would be so good. What a memorable experience - sitting with 10 other diners watching Tony and Deb serve the most delicious and mouth-watering food I've eaten in a long time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

What an establishment. This culinary journey was booked as a celebration towards a love of food. Nestled in the centre of the Fargo Village, with the ambiance of the jazz night going on over in the next building, my girlfriend and I had such an incredible dining experience. The food was sublime, and the social layout of the dining table really brought everyone together. With Tony and his partner cooking just behind us, discussing his history of chef experience throughout many prestigious kitchens, life stories, and beautifully presented meals, I'd encourage everyone to visit GFK. Great for first dates, anniversaries, lucky treats, and not to mention lunch even being available for people working in the area. This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for if you desire quality food.ABWheelchair accessibility: easy access for those who need. ground level establishment.Dietary restrictions: needs to be confirmed with Tony before you arrive.
