found this restaurant by chance when staying locally for takeaway enjoyed it so much booked for table in restaurant to see what the place was like. food is excellent and has been every time. Staff are very attentive and friendly, taking time to explain the dishes to help make choices. Would definitely recommend both visit and takeaway services.

I discovered this family run restaurant by pure accident one evening last year whilst out with family and friends . This restaurant has now become our only go to Indian restaurant. The staff are really friendly and the food is out of this world . If you are thinking of going for an Indian please try it , you will not go anywhere else it’s that good …….

Fantastic food served by a really friendly team. We have been visiting Meriden Spice many times over the years, and the food and hospitality never drop below a 10/10. This time we tried the slow cooked lamb Handi, and the Tandoori Murghi Chana Palak. Both of these were amazing meals, with a rich medium spicy sauce. Thank you for yet another lovely meal.

I have stayed in Meriden often, but had always taken a taxi to curry houses nearer Birmingham. As taxis are expensive we thought that we wouold give this a try. It is a small restaurant above a pub, and first impressions were that it was a bit poky. Whilst we were waiting for our table we chatted with a lady who had come to pick up a takeaway, who told us that the food was excellent here. I am very glad to say that she was right. I ordered a chicken curry with Naga chillies and my wife a chicken and spinach tawa. Both dishes were very good, with the tawa being the star. My wife thought it one of the best curries she has had in England (we had just got back from India) and I have to say that I agreed with her. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a lovely evening. What more can you want?

We went as a party of six, greeted by the very friendly staff as we entered and shown to our table. The restaurant is not large but makes it very cosy that give a nice feel to it. Good choice of dishes on the menu to choose from, so advice give by the waiter was appreciated. We all thought that the food was excellent, so there w as not very much left on our plates. Many thanks to the staff for enhancing our evening together. Ross

We booked a table for 10 of us and the communication was fantastic. Customer service was great from when we walked through the door to leaving at the end of the meal. We had a good variety of dishes and the general feeling was that the quality was excellent. Thank you to all the team at Meriden Spice for making our evening special we hope to return next year when we visit the NEC for the Good Food Show Caroline and Ron

I’ve been looking for a good Indian around Coventry for a while now. This has to be the best curry I’ve ever had. I had a korma and it was amazing! Not watery nor flavourless. I had also ordered a cheese and garlic naan and its was filled with plenty cheese and garlic. It was perfect. They also gave me a free poppadom and yogurt dip which I never ordered. Also shout out the delivery guy he was so lovely. It was delivered 15 minutes early! But overall the best curry I have tasted! 100% recommend :)

We have just had yet another wonderful evening at our local Indian restaurant in Meriden, The Meriden Spice, situated above the best pub in the village, the Queens Head. We have been eating there for the past 10 years, the food is fantastic, the ambience is welcoming and genuine. There is nowhere better to enjoy genuine Indian food of extremely high-quality for miles around, truly, this establishment is the jewel in Meriden’s crown. The beauty of supporting the Indian restaurant is that the alcohol is provided by the pub, so we are patronising two well established important businesses in one visit. I recommend without hesitation.

Had a take away. Butter chicken and chicken tikka Rogan. Both were tasteless and watery, and the chicken very bitty, looked like scrag ends. Will not be ordering again.

A wonderful unexpected surprise, welcoming and friendly. The best curry I’ve had for some time. Loved the Bombay Chops.
