Would leave 0 stars if I could. Ordered food from papa johns of uber eats at around 10:30pm, everything was fine to start of with, then just before 11pm, we get the “heading your way” on uber eats, completely normal. My only concern was no driver had actually accepted the food, I work in a retail shop that works with uber eats, just eat and deliveroo so I am already aware that once a driver accepts the order it shows their name, so no one actually accepted the order. After about an hour, we still had no food, uber gives an option at this point to request an update from the restaurant which I did, received nothing and then realised the restaurant closed at 11pm. So after waiting over an hour for food we realised we were never going to receive this. Usually if this happens I would take further action through uber eats but this was actually not there fault, this was papa johns fault, they never passed our order on to a driver because there was no driver that accepted the order. I understand that it is not their fault no driver accepted the order and it was closing so they probably just wanted to leave but this is no excuse for leaving our food in the restaurant. I work 8 hour shifts myself so I understand they just wanted to go home but is it really policy they just leave the food there if no driver shows up? The next morning I rang Papa Johns to speak to a manager, lady on the phone said the manager wasn’t there at this time which is fine, I then asked can i speak to who is in charge on the shift, which she replied “nobody’s here”. There is always someone in charge of a shift. This lady would not give me her name and then told me to ring back up 4 hours later when the Man from the night before who left our food there would be back. Waited and rang back, the man was extremely rude and refused to actually accept anything i had said, said he “handed it over” but couldn’t tell me who he handed it over to (there system would show the uber drivers name) but like i said there was no uber driver, he kept shutting me down and telling me to contact uber, i have done that but this wasn’t ubers responsibility, it was theirs. Will never order from here again, they were completely rude and not understanding. This was awful customer service and they need to learn some manners and respect.

Takeaway pizza, it's fresh and tasty. Good value through the deals and cheap if collected. Definitely my favourite pizza place for takeaway.

Horrendous. Only live a 2 minute walk. Ordered at 4:30pm received 6:15pm on a Sunday. I called up at 5:30pm to be told it’s out with a driver I stated are you sure as you would have to look at my house before you got in a delivery vehicle. She said let me double check oh and it wasn’t out with a driver not even made it into the oven. Forget the app that told me it was out for delivery within half an hour. Once I got it seamed hot but pizza was massively undercooked and I ordered deep base and it was as thin as a pancake. All the toppings just fell off instantly. Chicken wings wouldn’t touch them, potato tots cold hard. If it costs £10 more for a dominos it is worth it. Plus no way to complain on the app or get any help with the order. Once you’ve ordered, all you can do is wait!

Awful customer service - Incompetent StaffWhen ordering the deal on two medium pizzas we received an incorrect order, when we called the site we immediately felt push back.They blamed us for the mistake, but admitted twice that they have no proof of order on their end.They put us on hold to deal with an issue on site, when they returned to the phone they actually told us that a pizza had been dropped onto the floor…When they reluctantly offered to send us the right order we weren’t even told a specific time frame for to expect the delivery.Overall we were argued with by the gentleman in the phone, blamed for a error with no evidence and told we would have to wait an ‘a little longer than usual’ or a correction.

Just had a pizza, i had one from here a few years ago that had hard bits in- i spat it out and it looked like chewed up finger or toe nails that had been spat under the pizza topping!!My husband said i must have been mistaken- he has ordered tonight and i had some as i was starving but again i found a hard bit in the pizza that looked like a hard bit of nail or bone, has anyone else experienced this? Disgusting!

I made an order and on the 12th of March for myself and my three kids- I immediately cancelled because their dad came in immediately with a large take away. Since 12th of March 2023, Papa John has refused me a refund- I have called more than 10 times, they keep posting me around and telling me to call back. Please give me back my money I need it to pay for my kids school dinner for the week. I have my order receipt, I have the screenshot of all the times have called you guys- this is the height of negligence and as a first time customer- this is the worst experience have had in England since have lived here since 2010- so wicked of the management!!!!

Disappointed I have ordered from here for years and have never been disappointed until today , I ordered a cheese and tomato as I usually do and what I received looked horrible, rang the store and they said I ordered a vegan pizza ?♀️ I know I didn’t so rang them and they said pay £8 to get another, I’ve already paid £18 for a pizza going in the bin so no not paying anymore! After being such a regular customer for so long I’m very disappointed and won’t be ordering again ?
