Pubs in Coventry

“For those of you who might be worried that having new management might change this wonderful pub, then I’d like to put your fears at rest. I was there yesterday (Sunday 29th Oct) with my wife, my dad and my Aunt & Uncle and can honestly say that the Greyhound has lost none of its charm, atmosphere or great food & drink. Darren & his team worked absolutely tirelessly to make sure everyone was happy and that the food came out in good time. Remember…this is a busy & popular pub, the meals are all cooked from fresh so don’t expect to be served in 5 minutes! Having spoke to Darren during the course of the afternoon he explained how he wants to keep the pub exactly as it’s always been…and even try to improve on a few things. He clearly understands that this is a little gem of a canalside pub and wants to keep it that way. By the way, we all had the Sunday roast and it was amazing!! Make sure you take a good appetite with you if you go for the ‘regular’ £12.95 size with a combination of meats…!! Very happy customers who will be returning very soon.Parking: The tarmacced car-park is quite small, but there is plenty of overflow parking…albeit a bit rough.Kid-friendliness: Ideal place for families.”

“The staff were very helpful upon booking as we were booking for a large number of people and as we had young children with us they placed us in an area with plenty of shading as it was very hot that day and next to the playground which was very accommodating. The service whilst we were there was very quick and friendly and the facilities very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.Kid-friendliness: This pub is absolutely perfect for families with children as they have both an outdoor and indoor area and it all feels very safe and enclosed”

“Came here for my daughter's 18th birthday, watching the rugby on the big screen as well as some good music in the background. Add a few decent pints of Madri and cocktails for my daughter, a good night was had by all. Love how the layout differs with twists and turns, rather than just an open room ??”

“Excellent old pub. A proper boozer. Good beer and service. The only negative I'd post, is the quality of the much lauded pork pies. We had the black pudding one, there was nothing wrong with it but nothing special either”

“Staff are extremely lovely, understanding, and accomodating. Saturday was a bit loud due to a birthday party being held here, but Sunday has been very chill. Sundays do not serve food past 4pm though.”
