It was good but the owner was play grumpy which was kind of odd and the food felt stuck in a time warp - nothing wrong but not outstanding. I think our expectations were maybe too high. Much better value available.

First of all, beautiful food. However, that's it so far as we were concerned. For the cost of this meal we expected better. We were in a party of 10+ and we found the final bill quite a shock - considering only a couple of the guests had Starters and, I don't believe anyone had a Dessert. What actually surprised me the most were little things such as paper serviettes instead of fabric napkins; a very haphazardly laid table setting rather than what you would expect with a fine-dining establishment; a single flower in a very small vase which kept falling over; and, last but not least, the service which was a strange mixture of excellent and poor. The gentleman in the suit who welcomed us at the door served us some of the time and I found him hard work to say the least. No sense of humour or genuine wish to please. Very offhand. The younger wait staff were much better. Not sure what the arrangement was regarding the ordered wine but we were just offered a red or a white with no explanation regarding the quality being served. Back to the food. I have to admit it was delicious. Hot and seasoned perfectly and no-one in the party had any complaints. My compliments to the chef. I guess the food is the main thing but the other details would stop me recommending Da Vinci's and I would definitely have to save up for a second visit. Possibly the wine but, as I said, not even sure what wine it was, bumped up the cost. The total bill was around £850.00 for 10/12 of us - 2 of whom were teenagers.

Beautiful place with superb food and excellent service. Will definately visiting again.

Nice food. The Asian female waiter is unbelievably racist to other Asians, while providing nice and thoughtful service to other people. Interesting how an Asian who is also a waiter ignoring Asian customs all the time. With no help and no talk at all. Feel sad for the other waiter. As all other tables are taking care by the two waiters, he needs to take care of Asian tables due to the unprofessional behavior of his Asian female coworker.

Another wonderful lunch at our favourite place. Food, ambiance and service outstanding as always. Thank you Da Vinci.

Food was good, but so many small things that disappointed means we wouldn't want to come back. The tables are too low compared to the seat height, so eating was uncomfortable. There was no "affordable" wine on the menu, carafe of house wine was £30 and was bland, want decent choices sub £25.We knew the vegatables were an extra cost to the main, but they were bland. I had sauted potatoes and they may as well have been frozen chips, expected crispy coated in olive oil with herbs and maybe even some pancetta,Personally hate the constant topping up of wine glasses, makes me/us drink more quickly than I/we want.Tiramisu was excellent.

We visited the restaurant for my son’s 13th birthday. Food was exceptional and service was very good. We really enjoyed it and it’s good to know that we have a fine dining Italian restaurant near us.

My friend and I went to get lunch at Da Vinci as we have a few times before. I don’t eat much these day and so meal consisted of a starter, desert and 2 drinks coming to around £50, again for lunch. I was told my the long standing owner of the restaurant that I needed to order a main as it was a restaurant and not a cafe. He then said he would let me off this time but in future i need to order a main to eat there. The food is very good, but for a high-street restaurant in Coventry surrounded my many other eateries you would think they would be happy for the custom on a random lunchtime when they are quiet and rather expensive.

Exceptional. Amazing food, this is far superior to any other Italian restaurant I have been to outside of Italy. Coventry is incredibly lucky to have such an amazing restaurant.

Service was good. The starters especially the mussels were delicious. Mains were about average. The only thing is that it’s quite pricey. We paid 140 pounds for 3 people with no wine. We each had an starter and a main course no desert.

I have over the years eaten is a fair few Italian restaurants, even in Italy. This restaurant is really up there with the best. Reception when we entered was warming and welcoming. The restaurant is well decorated and not full of hanging decorations normally found in other restaurants, a true authentic Italian restaurant. Food 100% awesome. Timings of delivery between courses just right, nothing was to much trouble. We had two young children with us and the staff were more than happy to ensure they were looked after as much as the adults. From home to this restaurant is an 80 mile round trip.....I have to say, well worth the travel to eat in a first class restaurant, to be served by professional staff and eat first class food. Service exceptional, polite and professional end to end. Well done Ristorante Da Vinci see you again soon.

I will admit the quality of the food is wonderful. After being a sit down dinner on several occasions I can't argue . BUT...what you get with a delivery is ?. We spent £36 and there was only enough for one person. Luckily I had a backup in the fridge and microwave. It's a real shame they let you down.

Good attentive service from the moment we walked in, nice food, not too busy. Would definitely go back.
