It was my birthday yesterday, I had dinner with friends here. We had come in with a birthday cake which my friends kindly asked to be kept away and bring it to the table after food. I had expected a bit of warm pleasantries , seeing that it was a special day for me “as a customer”, the cake was brought in without a single acknowledgment. I feel like a kind “Happy Birthday to you” would have personalized my experience with them.Lastly, the worst thing happened, right at the table when I sat, was a hole to the floor, my BRAND NEW Louboutin Pigalle, got stuck in it and getting it out dented the heels. I had just worn it for the first time yesterday.However, food and drinks was good.

First time coming here thought the place looked really nice. Started with the hot board sharer which was good. We had the hanging kebab sharer for the main. The meat was very dry and the mushrooms were off. Put us off completely when we found a hair in the coleslaw. Waiting staff were nice enough but was not asked once how the food was. Polished it off when we seen the service charge. Expensive for what it was.

The food was okay. it's just a shame about the roast potatoes being raw. Then, the 2nd attempt was swimming in oil. Other than that, the food was good. Service was okay. And the atmosphere was great with live music.

Really nice food, friendly service but a little slow. There was live entertainment providing a fun relaxed atmosphere but vocals were unfortunately not great. So for this I'm giving 4* overall.Vegetarian options: Very clear and open about vegan choices.Dietary restrictions: Asked about allergies from server, so great to hear that they are aware.

Nice place but very overpriced. Service was slow, we had to repeatedly ask for water and had to send back a very flat beer in a dirty glass. They added a service charge to the bill automatically, which was lucky for them as wouldn't have tipped them due to the service.

A restaurant built in a renovated post office?️ The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, the lady at the bar was friendly, and the food and beer were delicious♡ My recommendation is the roasted sea bass. The harmony between the rocket salad and the sauce was simple but perfectly balanced.I could see the kitchen through the glass door when I went to the bathroom, but it was clean and gave me a good impression.

We tried their chicken teriyaki skewers, ribeye steak and crispy chicken burger. I would definitely recommend the chicken skewers and the ribeye steak. Both were full of flavour. The ribeye steak was especially soft and juicy. I can honestly say, this is one of the best steaks in Coventry.The ambience is amazing with a glass roof and very spacious seating.We visited on a Monday for lunch. There was barely anyone around. There was very limited staff there. Because of this the service was a bit slow.This place is on the pricey side.
Abysmal and depressing experience on Mother’s Day. The roast dinners took an hour or more to arrive, and then when they did they were cold (also the potatoes were literally semi-raw). Sent the meat back to be reheated and that took so long all the vegetables were stone cold and limp. The staff then apologised and told us they’d prepare totally new meals, which took the best part of an hour to come. Our waitress did what she could and it’s not her fault. I feel like I’ve just been to Fawlty Towers — everyone around us was looking as forlorn, frustrated and famished as we were. I’m sure the Botanist doesn’t care about losing one customer but I’ll never go back.

Today our food took 1hr30 to be served and then the noodles were undercooked and hard. It was busy, but still disappointing, however staff were very apologetic.Hummus starter was delish! Live music was so great!

Food was ok, its the fact we waited an hour and half for it Im not very happy about. Even bottle of wine took nearly half an hour. Yes it was busy but would be nice if customers were made aware what is the waiting time and decide if they want to wait that long or go elsewhere. Lastly we were sat for hour date next to a table full of dirty plates (the one by the kitchen strairs) and overflowed bin. Staff walked on dirty napkings on the floor several times in over 2 hours and no one even glanced at the brush literally behind the bin.
