We did get the 39.5£ steak which was very fatty and unenjoyable. I’d say very expensive and overpriced. The service was good though and the atmosphere was nice.

We booked in dinner for 2 at 19:30 and to put it short, this was so disappointing. The wine selection was fine but there was no actual drinks menu, and we didn’t even know what cocktails were available. The food was passable, very small portions though and extremely fatty cuts. The worst part of our experience was the service. The host was friendly but it seemed like he didn’t know what was going on, there were a lot of rude waitresses who were annoyed at our presence, and any simple request seemed like a huge inconvenience to them. The way they spoke to us felt condescending, as if we were kids or mentally disadvantaged people. We were even asked if we wanted two straws for one drink to share, which was very insulting. I suspect this was because we looked a lot younger than the rest of the other guests, hence why we felt so looked down upon. We felt unsettled and on edge and it was like this for the whole dinner. I would only recommend this restaurant to my worst enemies.

We had lively afternoon tea for my mums birthday. Service was fast and all staff was great and friendly. Place got his historical abbey vibes, especially inside. Really good place for special occasions and treat!

Sadly as previously stated it has gone down hill. Staff are not what they use to be, food wasn’t a good as previously been and the price has gone up and was too expensive for the quality of the food. A real shame as we use to love coming here and won’t be back anytime soon. Also the hotel needs a good lock of paint and new carpets as I popped for a quick walk and noticed that it is staring to look a little shabby. If you don’t sort it out soon it’ll be too late!

We’ve stayed at Coombe Abbey a few times now and the rooms are amazing and each one we’ve had have been amazing.
We had afternoon tea and that was fantastic.

What a beautiful hotel and the medieval night is not to be missed, the food at the show was fantastic and the show absolutely brilliant, plenty of wine and beer. We had a feature room which was lovely although no personal touches. The drink prices are eye watering and the bar food lacking in quantity with a ploughman’s having aeroplane size packet cheese (that was disappointing) but the medieval night made up for all of that, delicious food and plenty of drink, breakfast was lovely but it was so hot in the conservatory that it puts you off the food a little, I think some Investment in ceiling blinds are needed. Would I go back? Yes absolutely beautiful place, let’s hope they can tweak those few things to make the stay more enjoyable.

I visited the Garden on 14/05/22. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the setting was faultless. The pricey menu was explained by the great quality of all the food. The afternoon tea comes with a lot, but we could take away what we didn't eat. I will definitely be back again!
