Power hungry bouncers at this club. Queuing outside tonight when someone opened the side door claiming they were staff and letting people in that way. Around 15 people went in. 90% girls. However I was the only one called out and was kicked out by bouncers and staff. I tried to explain what had happened and that I was happy to rejoin the line and show my ID. However the bouncer outside refused to listen and made me leave. Absolutely power hungry and rude staff. Would not recommend.

First of all, I am a final year student, been there like 20 times. This time I had a UniCrew voucher and The Phoenix was listed on the website as place I can use my voucher.Went to the bar, showed the voucher with the QR code and the bartender (was a girl) tried to convince me they’re not accepting vouchers. I insisted so another bartender came and said they’re actually accepting those vouchers. Anyway, wanted a cocktail, the first girl said I can’t have a cocktail using it, I asked what I can get then. She replied “I don’t know, see the conditions” Couldn’t find any conditions but anyway, got a whiskey with coke and a cocktail I paid for. Have had this particular cocktail before, as I said I’ve been there many times. This time my cocktail had nothing in common with the previous times. Upset, I asked why’s that difference and the girl replied “It’s just different glass”. Well, I’m not stupid it wasn’t just the glass lol.Went there with my parents by the way, who came to visit me as I am EU student, so they were no less disappointed.I don’t know why I got that attitude, maybe because I didn’t seem “cool enough” as I was with my mom & dad or what?!?!Anyway, probably won’t go there again, not me, not my friends. In the end of the day, £15 for disgusting cocktail and unbothered attitude doesn’t worth it.

We hired out the room upstairs for a baby shower and had a buffet too. The room was lovely, with music playing, we were allowed to decorate the room. It was tucked out of the way so we were not really disturbed or in the way of customers. We did have a few strays venture up but they were very apologetic when they realised we were a private function. The buffet was just wow!! I have no other worlds to explain it, it more than exceeded our expectations and everyone comment on how lovely it was. Really good veggie choices too. Really good value for money too! This is now my number 1 place for any further functions we will be arranging. Thank you again for allowing us to hire your room, I will recommend you to everyone!

We booked a bottomless brunch and had Izzy for our waitress she was absolutely wonderful kept coming over making sure we was okay and had enough drinks even before we left due to the bare being busy she gave us a complimentary drink. Absolute amazing customer service for Izzy. The food as well was fantastic spot on,

Came for drageokke as a birthday night out with my friends on the 17th August and the service up in the room was amazing. Laura was super helpful and really nice with the group. Had the best time!

I haven't quite figured out why they ended the pancakes because all the students loved it. The coffee isn't from any sort of machine whatsoever, just coffee they mix with boiling water, and it's not cheap either. The food is reasonably good and the service is amazing. The atmosphere is also really good and it's a nice place to watch sports. You just shouldn't buy coffee to do so.
