The young girl Becky serving my children and I absolutely blew me away with her kindness and friendliness towards our children. They were abit unsure as they aren’t really “roast dinner” eaters but she assured them there was much more for them to try. They opted for nuggets, beans and some macaroni cheese. She definitely made an impression as they’ve already asked when they can go back! The build your own pudding was a big hit also

Arriving without a booking did make us worry we wouldn’t be able to get a table, however we did. The food and service was phenomenal. We went straight to the food and was overwhelmed by the choice available. I had the beef and I have to say, it was the best we’ve had at a Toby. Our waitress was Beckie P. She was a polite, funny girl who topped off our visit perfectly. We usually go to the farm for breakfast but we will definitely be back to try breakfast here in the near future.

A week or so ago i called to make a booking for my works “Christmas meal” as we was unable to go before Christmas, i spoke to a lovely guy “connor” who was very helpful. I explained i needed a table for Tuesday 09th for 14 people. He told me he would need to confirm with the manager as it was “50% off” week that week. He said he would call me back the following day. He did in-fact call me the following day and said it was fine to take the booking but would need to do 2 separate tables, which was not an issue. I’ve booked this in with him with no issue.Following to today, the day of the booking. I called the restaurant today to let them know there was only going to be 12 people and was very abruptly told there is no booking. I explain the situation that I had previous booked, but the manager “julie” was very rude and said “ how many times do I need to reiterate there is no booking for you” I then told her it was Connor who made the booking and she gave the phone to him. He told me he was adamant he put the booking into the system and even agreed he had asked the manager before calling me back. I then asked to speak back with the manager and was told she was now busy. I was then we’re stuck in a predicament, two hours before 12 people was about to arrive with no table booked. I called back to the restaurant. And the manager picked up again, being very abrupt from the get, there was no help at all to resolve the situation. I asked what would happen in a walking situation? And that idea was totally shut down. She then very unwillingly offered us to just have vegetables, but NO MEAT?! I’ve never experienced such un professionalism and a lack of any heart to help fix a situation that had been messed up on their behalf, the way she handled the telephone call was unlike anything I’ve ever known . knowing we was there for a Christmas meal and her staff also confirming they had booked it in.I then asked if it was possible, she could let the people arriving know that it was no longer going ahead. As I was unable to get in contact with some of them. I was told “ no I will tell them that you did not book a table”. At that point, I knew there was nothing that was going to be done and that I would never be returning. I have never felt so unwelcome and I think I know my reasons why.I honestly feel sorry for Connor, if he had to then experienced what I experienced over the phone for something that may have been a genuine mistake on his behalf.Thankfully, we called the Toby carvery at the Wheatsheaf in Sheldon, and they took a booking without any problem. The food was amazing and service. The waitress was so kind and everywhere was very clean and everybody had such a wonderful time.

We have been here many times, and have come to expect a good standard of cleanliness and quality and were not disappointed. It was made better tonight by the cheerful and efficient service provided by a new member of staff called Melissa. The highlight of the meal for a couple of members of our party was the seasonal sponge (and custard of course) Another enjoyable visit, and made even better because we had 50% off and Melissa was so charming. I’m sure we will be back soon

Visited for boxing day breakfast. The Yorkshire pudding and the cheese potatoes both had bacon in so, as a vegetarian, my options where more limited than usual. They did make vegetarian sausage though, which was nice. The food I was able to have was okay. Bit disappointed as my dad and I go every year for boxing day breakfast.

Stopped off here only wanting something small. Not a full carvery. The waitress recommended we try the Yorkshire wrap which was amazing! We had the beef dripping wrap and a hunters gammon wrap. Both were tasty and packed with meat. It was a perfect size for a smaller lunch. The waitress who served us was lovely and really helpful. We probably would have left without her help if I’m honest. Perfect location from the NEC and the business park. Would 100% recommend.

Great food. Good variety of meat. Very busy (but that’s because it’s so popular) Server Melissa was super friendly and helpful.

We came here as our local was closed. The food and service here is of a much higher standard. Our waitress was clearly very busy due to the unexpected closure but all seemed to handle it well. The food was rotated and cooked well. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The food was great and the waitress was amazing. Beckie was chatty and bubbly. She helped us out with pudding recommendations and even let our son push the buttons on the card reader. He loved it! See you Sunday!

Probably one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a Toby. The waitress Melissa was outstanding and couldn’t have been better - a real asset to the team. (I hope the wrist heals soon!)
