Terrible. Large Cod ordered. Either, the the word "Large" or "Small" have changed. I dont know. Prices certainly have. A large fish is Large hence the added price. Recieved was a Mackerel beefed up with batter dripping with dirty old oil. Anyways food was rubbish. It was beyond rubbish. Dog turned his nose up at it. Binned. Vile ?

Arrived mid day, waited for what seemed like forever to be served chicken meat that was bland along with the chips (also only wrapped in 2 pieces of paper which the grease had soaked through causing it to tear apart making the chips fall everywhere) and fish that had soggy/ undercooked batter. No apologies for the delay.Everything gets cooked to order so when the cue was forming didn't they ask all customers what they want so they can put it all in to cook at once? I did explain this but there was no understanding. Unbearable to stand in the shop too from the heat of the appliances. Very poor service, should have taken the food back really for a refund but couldn't be bothered instead I won't be going back hopefully they can sort out this mess so other customers don't have the same experience

I came into the Rose’s Fish Bar to get a regular bag of chips for me and my cousin and as I’ve entered there was a smell that wasn’t very pleasant. As we was waiting for our chips the women said they were gonna be fresh so I thought that it would be high quality food. As I was looking about in the shop I looked at the food displayed where there was hardly any food there and the food that was left looked lifeless. The sausage was grey and the pies looked awful. The prices were alright, but the price for the sauce was disgusting. A little pot of mayonnaise was 50p, and a little pot of curry sauce was a quid. As me and my cousin took the food out the bag the grease made the paper and the bag drenched. They only wrapped my chips up in the paper once and as me and my cousin came round to eat the chips, the chips were raw and hard and as I bit into the chip there was strings from the potato. My cousin dipped her chip into the sauce which was watery and had no flavour. Me and my cousin was disgusted and had to go back to the shop to get our money back cause it was bad. As we enter red the shop I politely asked for the money back and explained the reason for it. One of the workers which I think was the manager came stomping in asking about what’s going on. I explained to her the reasoning and she came back rude. I explained to her the chips were raw and she snapped at me saying they wasn’t when they were clearly was. The chips were drenched in oil and then my cousin moaned about the sauce. Then she was being disrespectful to my younger cousin and said she will give us the money back because she clearly knew the food was awful. Normally I don’t write bad replies but something needed to be said cause I wouldn’t want anyone going through what I’ve just gone through and witnessed. Do not go here unless u want raw chips and watery sauce.

Called on a friday lunchtime. Had to wait for fish and chips to be cooked. Wasn't in a hurry but prefer not to wait 10 mins. Food was good but cod slightly undercooked because it was thick at one end. Luck of the draw I guess. Will try them again.

Our fish and chips were fresh out of the fryer, they were hot and very tasty.
Ordered from them online. The food is absolutely delicious and was delivered very fast so it was still quite hot, delivery driver was also very friendly. Will definitely order from them again.
