Tescos even sell garlic mayo but other than that a tenner for half a kebab and chips was OK I guess... Servers was great but took ages to come when the pub was empty so overall I guess next time I'll chew on a chair leg for free or try the fingerpost pub just up the road...

we sat at a table in an empty restaurant to have a member of staff come up and tell us that table was reserved - there was no sign on the table, which i pointed out and got the reply that he hadn't put it there yet! - so although the whole room was empty we were expected to move.We ordered from the lunchtime menu, it arrived, to say it was a little disappointing in size with around 12 chips was an understatement, my gammon steak was smaller than the fried egg it hid below, and my friends hunters chicken was tiny - we agreed that we had ordered from the lunchtime menu and although disappointed the food was edible - we then went to order our desserts and were told that to get the lunch deal we should have ordered them at the same time as our mains, when we said why weren't we told this at the time we were surprised to get the response.......'we don't do that' - why not? so a dessert that was advertised as £2.50 ended up being £4.99 each - and the staff didn't even offer an apology.Food was OK, service ok if you like your food plonked in front of you but customer service a big fat ZERO, - would we recommend - no, not a chance

What a lovely place, I drove up, from Brighton and took my elderly mother here for Mother's Day Dinner.I was helped by the staff as my mother is in a wheelchair.They were polite, friendly and the roast Vegan dinner was amazing,So was the apple crumble, better than home cooked food.Incredible price, I had to check that I hadn't been undercharged.Even the local people were so friendly, holding doors open for us.Will definitely be coming back with the rest of the family, next time we are visiting.

Not a very good experience if I'm honest. Mixed grill wasn't available as there were no steaks. Asked for the ultimate burger instead, but no pulled pork, so had to have, I think it was the cowboy burger can't remember now, but it was 2 burger patties, with cheese, bacon and salad. Asked for salad in place of chips. My friend had the pie and chips. Did come in a timely manner, polite staff, etc. Unfortunately, the burger was extremely bland and tasted like grease. My friend said she didn't enjoy hers either. I was starving so I ate the meat and salad. Sorry to say this experience means I won't be returning, or recommending. When we entered and informed staff we would be ordering food, we should have been made aware of the lack of items on the menu, we would then have gone elsewhere at that point and not ordered drinks.

A friendly atmosphere with friendly, smiley staff who are generally happy to see you. We go to the old house quite often and have quite a few friends who drink here too and can say that the name of the pub is true to itself!Vegetarian options: There's a clearly marked menu with plenty of delicious options.Dietary restrictions: It's always best to check but yes, there are clearly marked menus and the staff are always happy to help if need be.Parking: There are a fair number of spots to park in. You shouldn't find an issue with it at all. There's also an osprey charging station for people with electric cars.Kid-friendliness: We have a 2 year old son (we've been bringing him here since he was 1 week old) and they cater to their need to explore and play with toys, books and a beer garden to play outside in the sun.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an access ramp at the side of the building which has enough space to enter the pub itself.

Food was good only thing wrong was that they brought out starter and main meal at same time then when they brought main back was only luke warm so they changed it, staff were very good.
Recently moved into the area tried a few establishments and settled on the best! Fabulous staff who remembered myself and daughters from our first visit. Always made to feel welcome and the food is delicious! Varied choices in a warm comfortable pub ?Parking: Ample parking in a well lit carpark

We booked to come here after the funeral to hold our mother's wake. We chose here because of the easy, disabled friendly access & the amount of parkìng space. Alan gave us the choice of booking per head or by choosing a specific amount of money we wished to spend. As we said that we just wanted to offer friends & relatives a place to come & chat, have a cuppa, a light bite to eat, in a comfortable & friendly place, we would choose to pay a specific amount. Alan didn't want a deposit or the money up front, which I would have gladly paid. We couldn't have been happier with the amount, quality, & choice of food, the service, or the friendliest people & atmosphere. Thank you, Alan & all your staff, who made our difficult day much more bearable. We will definitely be coming back here again.
