the bag of crisps was lovely! the face on the so called land lady not so much.beer tasted bad and when i politely asked to change she was extremely rude and this was reflected in the atmosphere of the whole place. skip it - i’ll get my crisps elsewhere!

Nicely done out pub, good range of draft beers and friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating area overlooking the canal.

Visited on a cold Friday night expecting it to be warm & cosy inside..I was wrong, it was cold & uncomfortable where we sat & hardly any other diners. I had to put my coat back in it was so cold. Food was ok but no where near the standard expected for the price charged. Its a shame as its a great location. Won't be returning anytime soon.

It's a small pub, but I just love it! It's... something family like... weird but soo lovely ?!

The Fingerpost Pub is a very charming place to go to the staff were very welcoming, we had lunch which we enjoyed, views of the country side and canal are lovely to see, i would recommend The Fingerpost Pub to anyone who enjoys something different.

Food and menu quite basic. Desserts all include chocolate not a great choice. Cheesecake very dry and tasted more like a cake than cheesecake.

Absolute hidden gem. Best pub / restaurant for miles. Came here for a Sunday roast about 1.5 years ago and was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the food was considering the value. 3 courses for less than £17 and absolutely no complaints. Although we don’t visit as much as we would like, we haven’t been anywhere else for a roast dinner since. We’ve recommended to family and friends and have been a number of times with family when they have visited who all have the same opinion. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere

We have been to The Fingerpost a good few times now for lunch, never have we had even the smallest thing to complain about. The welcome we receive is warm and genuine. The food is excellent, the place itself is always clean and it's situated in a lovely area by the canal. Bonus points for being so very dog friendly, won't be long before we are back again, thank you.

Fabulous place, cosy and romantic, right next to the canal, with rolling green pastures, watch the barges go by. Great ambiance, food is great and made with fresh produce. Traditional pub food with a twist. Would recommend you give it a try. Weekends are busy so book a table or go in the week.

First visit to this establishment and didn’t disappoint, Ordered 2 course Sunday dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed. Good value for money, warm with plenty of veg and meat - gravy was delicious.

Recently held a 70th birthday get together for family and friends at the Fingerpost. Mark supplied a lovely buffet for us and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all very friendly and we were made to feel welcome. The icing on the cake was the lovely sunny weather and we were able to make use of the lovely decked area. Thank you Mark and staff. We would definitely recommend your establishment for an occasion such as this.
