What a lovely pub, this was our first visit and we were impressed. We were greeted by a member of staff as soon as we came in (very polite); we hadn't booked, but he found us a table and explained how the parking works when I asked.We were really impressed with our food, came out hot and within a reasonable time.It's a great place to eat if you're having a night at Hollywood Bowl or the nearby Omniplex cinema. Will definitely return at some point.

From the moment we walked in I felt instant regret. Our first interaction was with the Manager at the host stand, I said I had made a booking for 20 people but we were told we'd be able to take the kids into the play area prior to being seated. She very abruptly asked my name and told me she didn't have a booking under that name, I explained I had called a few days before and spoken to a member of staff who took the booking and she didn't particularly seem bothered, eventually it was discovered that the person taking the booking had put it under the wrong name (no problem, accidents happen) On walking into the playarea it was filthy! There were a few free tables but there were a lot of glasses on every single one! The floor was a state, it looked like it hadn't been mopped for days. Came to ordering food, the menu isn't great, if you don't want burgers or grills don't bother looking. Each family at the table ordered separately but informed the bar they were part of the same table and food did come out together. However having had experience working in a similar environment kids meals should be served first, that way adults can sort kids out and then sit down to their own meal. One of the kids meals was incorrect when this was mentioned to the staff member rather than offering to correct it she argued with one of the guests. The same staff member later went on to swear at one of the guests at our table. When she was asked her name and if they could see the manager m, she claimed to be the manager (however this was not the case) when the guest stated he'd just complain to head office her response was "feel free". Thankfully the manager was spotted before we left and those who had encountered the issues were able to discuss with her. But for me the damage was done. I did have another large booking there for the end of the month but I have decided not to give them anymore of my custom.

Tried to call 5 times to see what time the play area opened no answer,thought we'd try anyway what a mistake! Paid for the children to go in when we found someone,had to clean the table ourselves,and the soft play area for the children was absolutely filthy a child had been sick it was left until someone came and cleaned it don't no if parents never told staff but shame on them if they never! Cost £17 including drinks for 30 mins as we took kids out as it was filthy.place need a overhaul and kids area needs supervision and a good cleaning!!!

It's a nice clean place but can't say much for the food the chicken is dry and not even spicy like they say.

Came to our local Brewers Fayre in Rubery for Boxing day meal today. We were a party of 5 adults. Wad very good, afterwards management offered myself and my daughter a free bottle of Prosecco to take home which we thought was a lovely gesture and much appreciated surprise. We'll done to ALL staff, who after all have had to work on a Bank holiday. Much appreciated!?

Horrible place. Staff were vile. Manager was vile. Food was okay but constantly ran out or was unavailable. Plates dirty. We won't go back.

When we arrived for our Christmas day lunch we sat at our table and it was about 30 minutes before our starters arrived, after that we then queued up for the carvery after we had finished the carvery we then waited age's for the sweets to arrive which had been pre booked as was the rest of the meal. Overall the food was excellent but the service between courses could have been much better.Parking: You have to enter your car registration number when you go into the reception area to confirm your booking reservation

First time here, table booked for 9 of us. Lovely reception from manager, shown to our table. Seats for stained , cutlery not clean. Ok so we go to get our carvery breakfast. Omg , no bacon, ok get the rest and we’re told bacon would be out soon. Old eggs . No ok we will go back when replenished. Not a good idea, by then a que had formed. So 4 of our members got breakfast, then another couple got food . Not what I would expect from a carvery. The small amount of food put out was ridiculous. I would understand if for the fact we had all booked . So wouldn’t that give the chef and idea as how much to cook . Also not much choice either . It’s a. I go for me . I’ll stick to Toby carvery .Needless to say we won’t be back .Manager was truly amazing, in my opinion I think she was embarrassed by the situation. Very good manager. Don’t remember her name .Vegetarian options: The vegetarian bacon and sausage were not nice .

The two staff Larna and Dean (chef) who were the only members of staff on were amazing, they made you feel so welcome despite being busy and run off their feet due to lack of staff, there were not enough staff to support these staff members but they still remained pleasant, professional, welcoming and polite despite other customers complaining. Recommendation would be to have more staff or management to support when busy as this is something we would do as licencees ourselves.
