A massive thank you to Pedro head waiter who made our Sunday lunch something to remember He arrange a parking space close to the entrance of the hotel for my father and mother who struggle to walk very far he kindly opened the moat door again close to the dining room to make access easier The food was excellent and arrived in a timely manor The menu catered for all our taste excellent choice We felt very welcome and were treated like royalty Pedro is a credit to the hotel and his team made our visit very special Cant recommend the restuarant highly enough we will be back

What a wonderful setting to have afternoon tea in; the oldest moated house in England. We were seated in an oak panelled dining room which just oozed history. We were given a menu of teas to pick from and also a menu for the food, this enabled you to tailor the food to your liking. I don't like egg sandwiches so I swapped it for a second smoked salmon. The scones were warm with lashings of clotted cream. Unfortunately the jam was a let down as it was very gelatinous with no fruit pieces in sight. There was far too much for us to eat; the left over items were put in a specially designed box to take home. A part from the jam the only other little niggle was there was only brown sugar on the table, we had to ask for white. Why I ask was the brown in cubes and the white sugar in paper sachets just like you would get in a service station. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very attentive. The champagne went down a treat. We sat in the garden once finished enjoying the surroundings whilst enjoying the warmth of the sun. A wonderful birthday treat.

An excellent hotel, warm welcome and exceptional dinner. The Princess Elizabeth suite was lovely even the creeky floors. Grounds well kept and enjoyed walking round. Would strongly recommend to others. Thank you for a lovely evening

Just had a spa break for my 60th birthday with a friend at the New Hall hotel & Spa, it was fantastic from start to finish, the spa experience and treatments where marvellous very professional, the food was excellent and well presented, what really impressed myself and my friend was the staff how helpful and genuine , with a real love for the beautiful building and gardens knowledgeable about the History and happy to pass on. We will definitely be returning very soon.

We had lovely afternoon tea at this hotel. Receptionist was very friendly show us the way to the restaurant. Restaurant manager/supervisor was bit cold, could be more friendly, waitresses very friendly and polite. We enjoyed sandwiches and cakes, tea pots were not polished so looked bit shabby, everything else was fabulous.

Breathtaking grounds , truly beautiful hotel with the best staff. I first visited for my 40th birthday.. I have returned at least twice a year for the past 10 years since and stay three maybe four nights a couple of times a year I can now only sadly afford to stay for a drink or maybe an afternoon tea followed by long walk around the gardens. For the same amount of money of one night stay at New Hall for my 50th this year. I am going to Nice France and Monaco for four nights at £250 . Such a shame. Thank you New hall for all the happy memories

When you find such a special place it’s hard not to want to keep it a secret, but it would be a great disservice to the staff that clearly and painstakingly do their upmost to make this place by far the best I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. One night just isn’t enough and I was genuinely disappointed to leave. Everything is perfect from the check in’s warmest welcome, the immaculately clean and beautiful rooms, the food which is outstanding and the stunningly breathtaking grounds, complete with superb facilities. All Staff are faultless, friendly, highly professional and kind. They made my stay unforgettable and went over and above to accommodate every request. Every single element of this wonderful establishment is amazing, and I will most definitely return. Wonderful!!

I stayed here with my daughter and we booked 2 suites, the customer service started before we arrived and was exceptional, I’d like to mention especially Sarah on reception that called me the day before my stay and sorted an issue for me and we were greeted by her when we arrived, the hotel itself is lovely, the grounds are amazing and the place has a very relaxed atmosphere. Amazing architecture with lots of character, we used the gym and pool and myself and my daughter both commented on the comfy beds and how well we slept, 5 star from us both and we will happily return.

What follows is not a comment about the hotel, its location or staff so no issues there but the lunch, the reason we visited, was of a very poor standard. We have been to the hotel before, albeit a long time a go, and had a wonderful dinner and evening but our experience this time was at the opposite end of the scale. The two ladies went with the prawn and lobster cocktail for starter which they said was OK while we two fellows went with the squid rings. Well, if it had not been for the accompanying dip, I would say they were tasteless and overly battered. Poor! Surprisingly we all went with the seafood tagliatelle for our mains and surprisingly, all of us left a large proportion of it. The quantity was, may be for some, fine but far too much for us while the quality was not. From my standpoint and shared by the others, the seafood was basically mussels with the odd prawn, the tagliatelle was more spaghetti like and the tomato dressing so strong it hid the taste of everything else. Probably the worst tagliatelle meal I and the others have ever had! A decent bottle of Chenin Blanc eased the disappointment but based on this experience, we would not rush back.

We booked Afternoon-Tea at New Hall Hotel; the weather was beautiful so we were lucky enough having our Tea on the terrace overlooking those beautiful gardens, what a stunning setting. The Afternoon-Tea was really nice, we very much enjoyed it. We got asked what drinks we would like after they served the Afternoon Tea, drinks were delivered and that was the last we saw of the staff. During the afternoon nobody came asking again if we would like some more tea, coffee or any other drinks. We had quite a bit left over and nobody came asking if we would like a “doggy-bag” to take some food home. We have been various times for Afternoon Tea at New Hall Hotel as well as lunches and dinners - not a single time could we complain about the service, it was always implacable - unfortunately the same can not be said this time, it was rather disappointing.

This is a lovely hotel outside Birmingham. The Hall itself is stunning. Our room was large and comfortable. We had the afternoon tea and it was quite good. Staff was truly wonderful. When we were stranded trying to get back from a concert late a night they were very helpful in trying to find us a taxi. Every member was engaging and lovely to talk to.

Loved this quiet place! Rooms are nice, a nice breakfast, spa, gym and beautiful gardens you can spends hours just relaxing. Dinners are also very nice, a small bar that will stay open a little later if you have a big group. This was my 3rd stay at the property!

I felt special during our overnight visit with dinner on my birthday. A truly beautiful historic hotel. So lovely, including the nicest staff and fab food. I forgot my deodorant, and someone went and found me a can. That was so kind. It truly is a splendid hotel.

Fantastic 3 night stay to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Lovely staff who made us feel special and were very attentive. Super food and luxurious rooms. We particularly enjoyed the spa facilities which are well maintained and we’re not busy during our stay. Thoroughly recommended.
