Staff here are SO helpful. I have a dog who is such a fussy eater and they have been incredibly helpful giving me suggestions. They are also very reasonably priced, I like that they are independent too!

We had a genuinely memorable experience. Sam was a credit to the old school house- he made the night. We were also greeted with a plethora of whiskies and wines which ensured we were never without options, and the atmosphere was perfect for stimulating conversation and hilarious anecdotes.

My partner and I fancied a change so googled Greene King pubs as we usually get good food and good service. The pub looked beautiful so we travelled 10 miles to visit it on a Sunday tea time. The pub itself was lovely, we were very impressed. It seemed very quiet for a weekend with less than 10 people in there. The drinks were very expensive for a Greene King pub, £11 for 2 pints, but the pub is in a nice area so can't complain too much. We ordered our food and it came quickly - too quickly for my liking. I had pie and mash - the pie was good but the mash tasted like cheap packet mash. My other half had the roast chicken dinner and said it was just ok. I ordered another drink using my Greene King app and after 10 minutes of waiting I had to ask a member of staff about it. This wouldn't normally be an issue but the pub was so quiet and the staff were not busy at all! It was a beautiful pub but we won't be returning as it was let down by poor food and poor service.
Sadly didn’t ask the name of the barman/waiter (lunchtime Wednesday 21) but he was so friendly funny and efficient and attentive we had such a lovely time and the food was delicious- can’t wait to come back we loved it

We took our dog to The Hungry Horse to get a new collar as he pulls when walking. The shop assistant was very helpful, and gave good advice. The harness was a good purchase for our hairy lurcher. Very pleased.
