We have been here about 3 times now, first time was great, today however wasn't, we hadn't booked, we were greeted & seated straight away around 12:45, went straight up for a carvery, the lamb was just a bone, I asked if more lamb was coming out, the carver said not until the current 1 was finished, I got the beef & gammon, my partner got beef & turkey, the beef was chewy & fatty, the turkey was incredibly dry, the gammon was OK, the roasties was a pile of crispy mash it was like they had been mushed together in the tray then roasted, the carrots tasted dirty, the place needs redecorating asap the paint has flaked off the walls in some places it's pretty bad, there is gravy/food on the walls & pictures around the tables, it's very off putting, we didn't finish our lunch, just paid & left, all of the staff were lovely

A reasonable mid-week meal at a sensible price.Staff have a good knowledge of allergens, particularly gluten, which is by no means the case everywhere. Thank you.Disappointed that the owners are considering closing, refurbishing and reopening as an up-market restaurant. Our straw poll of your customers yesterday revealed that few, if any, would visit the new restaurant. It seems like a strange proposal.

Appears dusty and dirty around food serve areas and tables.Just used toilets and don't think they have had a clean in a long time. Used to be lovely in Sutton Toby.

Great place with lots of little nooks so you can feel a touch of intimacy with your dining party. Food is very good, well priced and staff are very warm and welcoming.Parking is free and there's generally enough plus there's no conditions attached so no need to stress about fines or forgetting to put your car reg in.Unfortunately this is likely to be refurbed and rebranded a Browns Bar by 2025 so we'll be losing the Toby Carvery.

I eat here alot and breakfast is not bad the past few times eggs are cooked to death not great have to stand and wait alot for food to be replenished and the woman chef is super rude I have seen her be rude to multiple people for no reason she has an awful attitude I have had other people say to me how rude she is. All other staff are always helpful lovly and polite. the place it self could do with a repaint walls are very dirty.
