It was OK!! Is all I can say there was a large party celebrating a birthday of my late stepdad .The service was poor did say we needed to order pig in blankets etc , couldn't get the plates cleared or pudding menus it wasn't that busy neither severally us ask too . Then we couldn't get the bill wouldn't recommend for a large party ....

You NEVER answer the phone. Everytime we order online, something is always missed off. Last time it was a whole carvery meal! I'm celiac and gluten free requests were ignored even though when I spoke to TC Quinton, they were very accommodating and explained what was gluten free. This restaurant seriously needs to fix up, it's gone down hill.

We visited Toby today for breakfast and I couldn’t of asked for more. The food was all hot and cooked to perfection by John! The eggs were runny and not snotty. The bacon was cooked both sides and no chewy fat!The sausage was crispy on the outside and soft and juicy in the middle.Hash browns were crunchy but fluffy in the middle. We will definitely be visiting this one again.I must say from previous experience Toby carvery’s can be a bit hit and miss but I recommend checking that John is cooking and you will not be disappointed.

MY FIRST AND LAST BREAKFAST HERE !!On arrival we were not greeted with the warm welcome you expect when someone wants people eat at these places.First mistake I decided to upgrade the coffee to a latte tasteless at best warm milk!Second mistake “all you can eat breakfast” the best part of this was the toast. All the hot breakfast food was out ready for us to help ourselves unfortunately nothing had a lid on so was already drying out under the heat lamps, without exaggerating too much you could have broken a window with one of the hash browns .The price for two breakfast and an upgraded latte was just over £18 so not very expensiveBut what you save in the pocket they cut in the quality!!

Excellent quality food, excellent, friendly and professional waitress (think her name was Hanna). I would've given full marks across the board if it wasn't for the guy serving on the carvery - not sure if he gets to take home what's left at the end of the night, or if he's on a bonus for how many servings he can get out of one joint, but he couldn't slice any thinner without using a razor.

Very disappointed with meal yorkshire puddings were so hard couldn't cut through them, the vegetables were stale and couldnt even get the stuffing out of the dish was not going to comment but friends went on the evening of the 23rd and there meal was the same. Wasnt many people in there but were still rushed out table was booked for 13.50 and we were back in the car by 14.30 . Very disappointing

Great tasting food and atmosphere, but the highlight was the amazing customer service from our waitress, Vikki went above and beyond with what I can call unparralelled service to my family (especially my 2 year old daughter). Keep up the good work Vikki!!

Would not be rushing back unfortunately. The veg and roast were luke warm and basic in terms of choice and taste. I was given a very poor portion of meat which is essentially what you pay for. It was not great. On the plus side the staff member who served us was very friendly and helpful.

Staff were friendly but sadly the building decor inside and out is very shabby. Paint peeling from windows and rotten wooden fascias. The meal itself was only warm not hot. The chef was literally scraping the lamb from the bone, serving up scraps of lamb. We ordered pigs in blankets which arrived overcooked and dry. So hard you couldn't get your fork in.*****************************Since writing this review Toby asked me to email them to discuss this further, which I did.Surprise surprise more than a week later still no reply.Just lip surface and generic responses to reviews left here.**************************

Food was really not nice. Starter was cold. Bacon on the pigs in blankets were raw.Roast potatoes on the carvery were mainly hard and carvery meat very fatty. We will stick to the Hagley Road restaurant in future.Waitress was polite and gave good service. They refunded the price of the pigs in blankets.

This is the worse carvery I have ever been to. Quinton is much better....The food was cold, I ate my meal with all the dirty plates still on the table. I asked for my table to be cleaned when I paid (before I ate ) and no one came to CLEAN or clear the table. The service was rubbish, I waited for ages for someone to come and talk to me about the booking process. Never again, the staff were to busy chatting to the staff that were off duty and came into eat, or with their kids.

So excited but soon deflated with cold food not the first time this happened, next table family were unhappy too.Potatoes dried inside probably left too long .The sausage was stale cold . Very disappointed probably not go again, this is 3rd time this. Year for cold or hard food.Wanted to treat my daughter who's expecting. Just wasted money journey effort.Toby carvery you have so many customers you won't really care if we didn't enjoy.

I completely understand that there is a booking system however we have never had an issue before. We went today (23rd nov) to be told that walk ins must sit in the bar area even though there was loads of tables free without reserved signs on them. We had an 11 months old baby with us and was expected to sit and eat our dinner with people being pissed. We have never had a problem before when going to the Walsall branch even though we’ve not booked.
