It was my sons 21st Birthday and they were under staffed behind the bar and were very apologetic about it but still managed to provide us with an amazing service and the food was stunning, they even allocated us a little private alcove/area so we could enjoy his birthday as a family. We will definitely be returning, thank you to your team for helping us to celebrate our sons 21st Birthday - it was brilliant.

Staff were very busy. Monday night and usually very quiet but turned out to have lots of customers. Still excellent service. Well done guys.

We had great service from Emily, the Sunday lunch was second to none. We really enjoyed it, & will be back soon.

Decided to eat at the Irish Harp last Wednesday, got there about 6.15, while my husband was parking car I went in to enquire about a table for 3, a lady at the computer said “on line bookings only” we asked if we booked a table online then could we come in and eat she said No.We don’t live far from the pub but I will never eat there again.

The staff were both friendly and efficient. However, the meals were lacking for the cost. The food quality, quantity, and presentation were poor. The decor was dated and uninspiring.

Decided to go to the Old Irish Harp yesterday as we hadn't been there in quite a while and tbh I wish that we hadn't. Unfortunately, where I can appreciate the prices of the food on the menu has gone up, the quality and more importantly the quantity has gone downhill. ?We had two starters between the 3 of us and in all fairness were quite nice. We then waited between 20 and 30 mins for our mains to arrive and when they did I was very underwhelmed by them.My sons Cheeseburger and fries looked alright, my partners Steak pie looked nice, however with the 'ONE' carrot and the half a handful of chips on the plate it looked quite bleak. Then we come to what I had ordered. I decided to go with the hunters chicken and upgraded it to a buttermilk fried chicken. Quite frankly, this wasn't very nice. My plate was made up of over 'half' of green leaves, about 8 chips and one piece of fried chicken which looked as if it had been left somewhere to keep warm while the rest of the food was being done. The chicken and bacon had gone hard and the cheese had all gone dry. ?Paying over £17 for the hunters chicken alone was quite frankly, disgusting!!!We were looking forward to coming to the Old Irish Harp yesterday but unfortunately it might be a while before we do again.

Service was great.Steak - well done was burned.Other steaks goodWould like to see more or bigger mushrooms (our one mushroom was tiny) and less big tomatoe on the meal (was huge) perhaps an onion ring or two included.

Very weird place, won’t be visiting again. When arriving the lady tried to say we didn’t have a booking which I had a code on text as proof but apparently someone else checked in,in my name?No straws were given with our alcoholic drinks, the waitress then decided to tell us after we started drinking our drinks that there was 5+ food options not available. Not really acceptable for 7:30pm on a Saturday night? Otherwise we would have left if we was told this at the beginning.Steak was very overcooked/burnt and chewy.Waitress’s were getting confused taking the wrong food to different tables despite being in a corner of only 4 tables. Also we was seated in a very quiet section of another 4 tables where everyone could hear your conversations. Won’t be re visiting again.

Arrived 12.30.Five of us.Drinks arrived promptly but meal orders not taken till 12.50.Two meals arrived five minutes before the other three. My husband's chicken tikka masala wasnt warm enough. My " Chorizo , Mac and cheese" was lovely flavour but three tiny pieces of chorizo were not enough. My salad wasn't there and when I requested it it arrived as wet leaves( obviously quickly washed in the kitchen)I don't know what the other meals were like - our guests would not complain. But the burger looked ok even though it was served with accompaniments that had been requested to leave out.So we had a nice outing but I don't think we shall return - there is so much competition now we have a wide choice nowadays.
