Like everyone else, I visited the crooked house when I was younger too. Hardly anyone I have spoken to went there recently, so its little wonder, if a pub has no customers, it doesnt make a profit and is put up for sale. A quiet loss making pub is not going to be bought by another pub company! The Council should have bought it. They declined to, so it went to the highest bidder - that's hardly the brewery's fault! It was on the oepn market, anyone of you could've bought it....read full review

We came to the brewery on Friday and really found it interesting. We looked for Dave - our guide to say thank you before we left but couldn’t find him. He was brilliant, great sense of humour, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Please pass on our thanks.

Exciting tour of the brewery. It's an old brewery where many old methods are still being used, including fermenting the beer in open vessels, so you can easily see what the process looks like. Our guide was former employee at the brewery and had great knowledge of it all.
