Congratulations to this place! I’ve eaten some rubbish food in my time, but the Oriental Chef has taken the title! Horrible, cold, no flavour and some weird kind of greasy after-taste. Looks like the emergency Gaviscon is coming out.

Have been here before and loved it but tonight was very disappointed. Spent over £37 and would say it was a total waste of money.StartersPrawn toast - lacked prawn, couldn't taste any prawns on it, just tasted like fried bread with sesame seeds on itMini spring rolls - these were lovely, the best part of the mealMains - pork curry and egg fried rice tasted of nothing but an overwhelming spice. Could not taste any flavour in the curry sauce it was more like eating meat covered in a creamy covering but was then an after taste of burning spicePrawn chow mein - again tasted of nothing but greasy noodles, the prawns didn't even have a flavour of prawnsCrispy chicken in chilli and garlic with a portion of egg noodles - again the noodles had no flavour but the crispy chicken did taste ok so eaten with the noodles helped to flavour themChips - these just tasted like bog standard chips you would get on your plate at a pub, they did not taste of chinese chipsI dont have takeaway too often due to the cost of it but when I do have takeaway again I would not be buying from here. It was like they had run out of their flavourings

Pick up at shop food all ready I arrive 5 mins before pick up time and handed food for found it was cold live 3 min by from shop also no prawn crackers this was my first and last time going there.

I always enjoy my meal from here . I had Singapore fried rice and salt n chilli chicken this time and both was excellent ? . Really decent Chinese run by really friendly people and I recommend Oriental Chef to anyone reading this review...... Nom nom nom

Asked for the curry extra hot(I've finished off my kids tikka masalas that have been hotter) and didn't receive what I asked for,chicken egg Foo young was full of bean sprouts instead of being mainly egg which is why we ordered it,best thing we're the chips as they were fresh but if I wanted chips I would of visited a chip shop.use to be a really good Chinese and I use to just visit here for there Currys as they were really good now there bland with no flavour or spice definitely won't be using again as the price of there meals are alot more expensive then other Chinese takeaways and overall food is not good compared to how it was before shame as it use to be my go to Chinese and I've recommended it to so many people in the past

Where on earth do I start, after 3 days of being severely sick from one of their dishes, I’m now able to leave this review. Rice was over cooked and burnt. Chicken curry was lumpy and swimming in excess oil, the king prawn rice was awful, the prawns looked like it was boiled and then added to the overcooked greasy rice. They changed the recipe on the sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style and that was also swimming in oil. When we called they were not willing to understand and instead argued for 20 mins when we decided to go down in person. Absolutely disgusted by how they handled it this and I will never return. We used to order from them very regularly and it’s a shame that their standards have gone down the drain.

Manager was pleasant but the rest had awful customer service. Forgot the pancakes, sauce and cucumber etc with the duck and admitted this as it was left on the side. They then sent out some fresh (which I thought fair play they’re rectifying their error). The delivery driver came and asked for the old half eaten duck back.. I wouldn’t order duck because you’ll probably get some microwaved old duck!

The best Chinese takeaway in the area. I have tried the other ones nearby and none of them come close to Oriental Chef when it comes to quality or taste. The food always arrives piping hot, and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal from here. Order here if you want to avoid the disappointment of parting with your hard earned money with other nearby establishments.

First time ordering from here, haven’t had a good Chinese since I went vegan about 10 years ago so this was amazing! So many vegan options and was surprised at how good they tasted! Even my meat eater partner was impressed! Definitely my new regular takeaway!Vegetarian options: Loads of choices and very tasty

Spare ribs salt and chilli tasted like garlic and burnt garlic with salt, the peppers were raw.The curry sauce tasted of powder. The chips were ok for twice, thrice cooked. Never again.All this because Sang’s was unavailable

First time ordering from here. Ordered chicken chow mein and salt and chilli spring rolls. It was nice but way too much soy sauce in the chow mein and I asked for not many beansprouts and the whole chow mein was basically bean sprouts. Spring rolls were good but needed actual seasoning rather than just onions&chilli. Would probably order again
