“Arrived for an impromptu meal at the Canalside Lounge after a long walk. My hubby said the chicken jalfrezi and masala chips was some of the nicest he had ever had. My son chose the large mixed grill which was amazing and very good value. He said it was beautiful, but even had to give in and get a doggy bag for the remaining food. I had a chicken tikka wrap which was fresh and so flavourful. It was huge and came with chips, such good value again. We even tried a few cocktails which were 2 for 1. The young man who served us was welcoming and very attentive and a real asset to the place. All in all we had a fab visit and will be returning very soon.”

“I am working away for work, and am quite used to restaurants that are with the hotel.
I ordered the Mixed grill with steak cooked medium.
Unfortunately, the steak came out a little more well done than I'd like, so I had the order sent back.
However, I am happy to say that the order was made with no fuss thanks to the manager Alan and his team. Compliments to the chef the second time round.
We all make mistakes, but it's the way the action was handled to which I was very happy about.
I would happily recommend eating here, knowing all the staff were friendly, and the mistake was sorted out very quickly.

“Had a really great meal here last week, we did have to wait over an hour for the mains but the manager gave us a free drink and was very apologetic. Steaks and ribs were really good”
