My partner and I in here last night on the off chance they could squeeze us in. It was heaving but Rupert the manager did his best to accommodate. Very friendly , happy staff and nothing was too much trouble. Been in this pub several times now and never fails to disappoint. Really lovely staff and amazing food.

Lovely breakfast catch up with friends.Service a little haphazard this time, usually exemplary, but it all worked out perfectly well in the end and it didn't detract from our leisurely morning.

The Chestnut is a cracking pub, ran by an excellent manager and friendly and hard working staff. The food is good and Is well priced. Wednesday evening is quiz night and you can guarantee the place will be packed with well behaved quizzers! I have been going in this pub for years- it wasn't always as good as it now- the management deserve great credit

We only visit this pub occasionally, normally for a meal, usually breakfast. The breakfast is good value and well cooked. It struck me that the waitress is an absolute star. She works efficiently and always with a smile and pleasant attitude. Kez thanks for all your efforts, it's much appreciated.
