Stayed at the adjoining Premier Inn and had breakfast over the past week, was served by the lovely Ellie, was very impressed by the service she provided and did not hesitate to help with my allergies, I noticed that she was by herself most the time so she did an amazing job! and kept smiling, was also served again by her at lunch and what great service she gave! a real credit to the Acorn, will be definitely be returning.

We stayed at the adjoining premier inn for 4 nights over Christmas, we had breakfast here every day, although they were very busy and obviously understaffed the breakfast was good an excellent value.

We came for the first time for Sunday lunch and had a lovely meal. Really enjoyed our roast, ribs and kids meals, and can’t fault the service Christina was lovely and friendly

The food was amazing and our server Steffi was fantastic. She made us feel so welcome and looked after, took photos for us and made the whole experience memorable. An asset to the team!!!!

The visit was on Friday lunchtime as a birthday treat for my wife. She had rung the restaurant earlier in the week to check on their allergy procedures and was amazed at the completeness of the information given. On arrival we were handed two menus, one with a range of gluten free meals and the second a normal menu both with similar options. This meant my wife was able to have a meal without worrying about her intolerance reactions. Our waitress Rosie was amiable, attentative and a credit to the restaurant.
Lovely meal - server Jack was awesome - great chicken wings as a starter and lovely burger. Great selections for kids as well.

We booked in advance for Boxing Day (6 people). When we arrived, we were told that they had run out of most of the food. We asked about vegan sausages (shown on their online menu) but they said that they never serve them. We understand that problems can arise due to suppliers and busy periods, but they could have rung us to save us travelling and then being left with no other options ?
