Lovely warm welcome - both from the landlord and the roaring log fire! Really appreciated on a cold January day. My scampi was fab and hubby enjoyed his ham and eggs - and we both agreed the chips were great. Thank you.

Popped in for lunch on the off chance at this quaint pub.I received a warm welcome from the landlord. The bar was reasonably busy and had a good atmosphere especially given it was a Thursday but with the affable landlords banter it was hardly surprising.I went for a pint of bitter from the Hoggs Back Brewery and a scampi and chips. All delicious and at very reasonable prices!

Love this pub. It’s become a firm favourite when we’re staying nearby. Great owners/staff. Good chats with a range of customers. Garden is great in the summer. Have taken advantage of the Chinese van on more than one occasion. Yet to eat in the pub but heard very good reports (especially Sunday dinner, apparently).Parking: Front of pub.

Had a great charity quiz night there. They have top musicians performing outside in the warmer months. Well worth a visit. Friendly people and super food.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Crown Inn. They serve a lovely vegan burger. I also enjoyed meeting Alfie and Ozzy. Will definitely visit again.

Beautiful food, homely atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly staff.
I just popped in for a pint with my wife early Sat evening but didn't require any food. I found the atmosphere instantly welcoming. Very friendly and efficient service. This pub is clearly an important place in the local community, demonstrated by a local open mike event in the lovely garden. Many local musicians played and much fun was had by all. A great vibe and an excellent pint! A good reason to return to Capel.

Stopped here a few weeks ago thinking pub would be open like London time's. Landlady explained they shut at 3.00pm.We asked if any pubs opened all day as we were starving? Kitchen was closing in 15mins. If you choose now we could eat in garden with our dog and not rush. RESULT for us. Both had Chicken N Leek pie. Dog had secured garden to wander round excellent afternoon. We will be back to see you and you're rescues . ❤

Nice country pub, good food. Liked it there, had a lamb roast. Didn’t have any roast potatoes left that day and got served chips instead.
