Food was great but the service less than stellar. Hot food was walked past repeatedly before it was taken to the tables, and service was generally slow. This is not a reflection on the waiting staff, they weee working hard, but the place needed more staff.

Amazing pizza with an amazing lunch deal where you can get a massive pizza and a beer for £13.50! The interior is beautiful and the pizza are made fresh from the oven! I personally really like the honey pepperoni - the sweet and savoury combination is delicious! The pizza dough is also super soft and chewy!

Amazing home cooked pizza, proper food for the heart??. Splendid atmosphere with cute picnic tables, would imagine my son may take his new date there sometime soon?. A dad recommended spot, make sure to book the specific table you want, to get the right vibe for the night. Service is friendly and food comes quick, would go again any time

Have been here on several occasions since it opened and has been enjoyable. Last night the restaurant was busy with one chef on duty. We had to send our food back as cold and the wrong order. There were several takeaway riders awaiting orders. If only one chef perhaps suspend takeaway’s and concentrate on the customers choosing to dine in.

Meeting up with some old friends for the first time in a year, a recommendation from a mate we bumped into that night led us here!Seating upstairs was full, so we were sat downstairs - which was great! The waiter was friendly, and although he said the service might be a bit slow as they had less staff than usual, it wasn't at all. Good service, great food.The choice of music was great too. Unfortunately the stereo mix suffered due to one of the speakers not working, which was amusing.Regardless, a great place to have a meal with friends. Would definitely recommend.
We held our Corporate event at Monte Forte and were fortunate enough to have the entire restaurant to ourselves. The restaurant is beautifully laid out, with good air con during the warm summer days, an open kitchen space and the most funky basement with an upstairs and downstairs bar. Ellie B was the Manager on duty and bent over backwards to accommodate all our needs. She was friendly and unbelievably flexible in accommodating our requests. Ellie gave up a lot of her time in advance of our special event, to ensure every detail was covered and was pro-active and resourceful in accommodating such a large group of 62. On the day, all the staff that worked (Ellie B) , Ellie T, Jack and Neve, and the kitchen team, Nathan and Malachi, worked incredibly hard from start to finish and were professional and on the ball. Nothing was too much trouble, and Ellie, the Manager, was in constant communication with me throughout the evening to ensure everything ran smoothly on the night. The Pizzas were very authentic and a taste sensation. All the guests commented on how they were some of the best pizzas they have had in a restaurant! Our only feedback for improvement is it would have been great to have had some lagers available, other than the local bottle ales / brews, but I know that Monte Forte had some supply issues, and did their best to remedy that where they could. Overall, we highly recommend Monte Forte for their 5* Service, amazing team, quality of the food, ambience, and also, we felt that they were really good value option for a corporate event, with no hire fee and just a minimum spend. We would not hesitate to return for a corporate event, or with family and friends for lunch or dinner. It is a very special place with a local feel. Awful. The place was almost empty which should have been a warning. Two pizzas, a glass of wine and a small glass of coke was £45 ! Both pizzas were undercooked with raw pizza dough and lumps of completely tasteless rubbery cheese on top. The toppings were very sparse, apart from the rubbery cheese. Had to ask for some black pepper. Neither of us finished our meal and I was left with a horrible after taste that made me feel like vomiting. Polite staff but they ignored our complaints. One last thing, they are card only. I should have stuck to my principles and walked out when they told me this. Will never go there again.

My meal of the pasta ragu bolognaise was lukewarm and tasteless and my husbands pizza(think it was called game changer was soggy and had far too much garlic and herb topping so was overpowering he couldn’t taste anything else and we couldn’t even order a coffee as the grinding machine was broken. Certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone and we definitely won’t go again ever.
