The Boar's Head remains one of the best pubs in the area, especially for food. We ate from the lunch menu where 2 or 3 courses are very good value, and the food was fresh, well presented and tasted great. Service from the lovely Lisandra and team is excellent. We also like the environment - we prefer sitting in the bar area which we find is warmer and friendlier. Well done Boar's Head - make sure you keep hold of the chef!

Attended the Boars Head recently for a family Christmas meal for 19 people and the food and hospitality was outstanding. Malcolm (manager) was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. All 19 of us had an amazing meal and everyone was very complimentary of the food and service! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Boars Head, thank you again!

Chose here as Festive Menu sounded perfect. Meeting up with sister for pre Christmas catch up. We both had the roast, which was delicious and just like 'home made'. Lovely having roasted vegetables also. Also desserts were just as tasty. Also wanted to commend Emily, who was so lovely and helpful, and a credit to the team. And very surprised to learn only been there a few weeks. We will definitely be back.

After checking out many venues for our family pre Christmas meal we decided on The Boars Head based on the menu which was varied and very appealing. We have visited this pub a few times and the atmosphere is very cozy. We definitely chose well, lovely atmosphere great food and the staff were lovely, friendly very courteous and professional. The food was second to none and was delivered to the table in a very timely manner and very reasonably priced. We could not fault our visit and will definitely be back.

Went for a Birthday lunch in the main restaurant. Service was good and fast. Waiter was busy but attentive when taking our orders, including a special Gluten Free diet for food. Good selection of wine to choose from. Food was very quick coming from the Kitchen and was hot, suitably prepared and garnished.
